Sig.NULL Sig.NULL is a downloadable expansion to last year's Signal, a Sokoban-esque puzzle game about pushing blocks into place using drones that you control... more or less. The puzzles are hard enough as is, but discovering the bizarre mechanics that make everything run is another major endeavor. Even if you're familiar with how Signal worked, Sig.NULL adds many new features that make this a fresh challenge for all takers.

Sokoboom 2 Who needs bells and whistles? Not this little puzzle game. Though more of the same straightforward Sokoban as the original, this sequel keeps the presentation sleek and simple and the levels challenging to make it a satisfying and welcome little addition to the genre.

nabokOS.exe Sokoban puzzles can be pretty hard, but what if the program was actively working to make it harder for you? In nabokOS.exe, a reverse take on the classic puzzle, you've got to pull a bunch of sticky boxes into place, scraping them off of you as you go. This Puzzlescript game made in 24 hours is short, but packs a lot of challenge into each tricky level.

Chuck's Challenge 3D Chuck's Challenge 3D is Chip's Challenge for the 21st century. Created by Niffler, a team of indie developers that happens to include the original creator of Chip's Challenge Chuck Sommerville, the multi-platform sokoban-like game takes the tile-based puzzles from the original release and updates it for modern players. You'll still deal with slippery ice floors, falling platforms, enemies marching back and forth, and a large supply of items to collect before you can open the door. But now you'll do it with full camera control and lots of pretty visuals!

backstabber backstabber is a Sokoban-esque puzzle game developed by Dennis Ranke for MiniLD. Play the nameless protagonist as he moves square-by-square to stab each of the other people in the levels. With PuzzleScript pixel-y goodness and a quirky attitude to offset the grim nature of the theme, backstabber is a game that will have you scratching your head with a smile to the very end.

Dang I'm Huge If you've ever stepped through a magic portal and instantly became twice your size, you might know what it's like playing Guilherme Tws' Dang I'm Big, a Sokoban-style puzzler where becoming huge lets you push giant blocks around the map, but staying small lets you pass through tight crevasses. The eight levels in this short challenge require you to plan your moves out carefully, since it doesn't take much to block your own path to the targets. You might also want to set up a queue line and charge admission to that portal, but that's irrelevant.

Heroes of Sokoban III: The Bard And The Druid Purple Bard and Orange Druid join the party in Heroes of Sokoban III! These box-charming, wall-transforming members make for some clever puzzles and creative complications, though newbies should probably get up to speed with prior installments first.

Heroes of Sokoban II: Monsters The hunt for doors continues with Heroes of Sokoban II: Monsters! In this expansion to the Sokoban-esque puzzle game, you not only have to deal with the warrior, the thief, the wizard, and their quirky personalities, but you've also got to defeat goblins and dragons. But lo, a mystical priest has also come to join the adventure. With an extra fellow on deck, can you find your way to the exits?

Heroes of Sokoban A warrior, a thief, and a wizard walk into a bar. The warrior pushed his way through the door, while the thief pulled the door open, and the wizard somehow switched places with the door. (The wizard's a bit weird.) In Heroes of Sokoban by Jonah Ostroff, you've got to control all three adventurers and their quirky personalities to navigate Sokoban-style puzzles. While you're at it, check out PuzzleScript, the new puzzle game engine developed by Stephen Lavelle that can help you make your own games!

Sokobond I think we should have some bonding time. Chemical bonding, that is. In the clever chemical puzzler Sokobond, you're given a handful of atoms and the task of them joining them all by pushing and chaining them together. Like Sokoban puzzles you might be familiar with, you don't have much space to do it all in, so you've got to use the splitters, bonders, and rotators provided. Even if you don't give a hoot for chemistry, Sokobond is still a very accessible puzzle with easy-to-learn rules and an enjoyably element-ary design.

Corrypt Mushrooms. It's all about mushrooms. And keys and crates and stuff, too, but really, mushrooms. In Corrypt, a puzzle game by Zaga-33 creator Michael Brough, your job is to work your way through maze-like screens as you hunt for the items you need to appease unsettled citizens. Using a slightly tweaked sokoban-style setup, be ready to sit and scratch your head as you wonder at the logic of carving a path through groups of wooden crates.

Cyadonia 2 James Newcombe's massive sliding-block puzzle game makes a return in this huge sequel. Your goal is to get your four Cyads to the exit in each stage, but with lasers, bombs, glue, switches, and much, much more in the way the farther you progress, it quickly becomes clear this deceptively simple looking puzzle game is playing for keeps. With no timer or turn limit, it's just you, your brain, and some of the most cleverly designed and fiendishly huge levels around that will keep you busy for a long, long time.

Escape (Tom 7) Time to get your Sokoban-like on with Tom 7's puzzle game, Escape. The built-in tutorial levels start you off with a good challenge, but it's the thousands of user-made levels (and a great sorting system for them) that will heap on the entertainment and have you playing for hours. Try your hand at creating a level of your own to share with the public to see if they can succeed to escape.

Planet 161 Created for the Ludum Dare 23 Jam, this charming puzzle platformer puts you in the role of Soldier Hinds as he attempts to escape the clutches of the evil Zordak on the small prison of Planet 161. It isn't just a great game for something created in under 48 hours. It's a great game full stop. Using three very different types of guns that allow you to manipulate your environment in different ways, Planet 161 dishes out cramped levels that unfold in complexity, offering up a few pretty compelling exercises for the gray matter while not suffering from being overly difficult.

Rinth Island An interesting combination of 2D and 3D, Rinth Island takes classic sokoban block-pushing, switch-throwing fun, throws in some tropical twists, and shakes it up to make an iOS game that's as refreshing as a hurricane (the cocktail, that is). With 60 adventure levels, 3 more modes for each level, and an in-game level editor and user-created levels, it's a lot of puzzle for the price.

Sqr Sqr is a retro-styled gravity-based puzzle game from Denis Shilo and Constantine Zaytsev. UpBot Goes Up It's an entire philosophy of bot-dom. UpBot is at peace with its purpose in life. It is UpBot. It goes up. It doesn't try to be something it's not. If UpBot needs to go left, then LeftBot is going to have to help it. The makers describe the game as "elegant," and that really is an apt descriptor for the solutions.
