With an enormous world, challenging and uniquely strategic combat where the elements come into play, and all the humour, sidequests, treasure and surprises you've come to expect, this is one rare game worth its hefty price tag.

Champions of Chaos 2 The rebellion needs a hero... not to save the day, but to go beat the pants out of the other kingdoms until THEY respect you enough to come save the day. It's complicated, alright? Though some characters and a "new game +" mode are only available in a premium edition, this turn-based strategic RPG offers a who lot of quirks and combat and is a clear labour of love.

Though it does take a while to get the ball rolling, however, World's End Chapter 1 eventually reveals itself to be an extremely ambitious piece of storytelling and gaming in general.

Teacher Story Teacher Story is a gorgeous, fun, funny game with glimpses of serious cleverness. As the name suggests, you play a teacher who's trying to stuff his classes full of knowledge, but first needs to literally beat the stupidity out of them to get through. Though hampered by an aggressive and restrictive free-to-play model, genuinely strategic combat and a gorgeous presentation still make this one worth checking out.

Shadowrun Returns In the world of Shadowrun, magic and the digital age collide in a dangerous age where dealing with backstabbing dragons running drug cartels is every bit as likely as corporate espionage carried out by cybernetically enhanced trolls. Harebrained Schemes puts a fresh spin on the cult classic tabletop game and brings it into the digital era with this engrossing turn-based strategy RPG, including the tools to make and share your own campaigns for free.

Min-Hero: Tower of Sages Gotta train em all! Toy Chest Games' strategic turn-based strategy game may be heavily inspired by Pokemon, but a gorgeous design and a focus on simple yet satisfying combat with a whopping 101 monsters to train makes it a casual treat.

Four Scepters Puzzle meets roguelike in this challenging little retro game created for Ludum Dare's minimalism theme. Four heroes sounds like more than enough to find all four magical scepters, but with random dungeons filled with unique monsters, tricks, and permadeath, you've got your strategizing cut out for you.

Avernum: The Complete Saga Available for the first time in a bundle pack, the Avernum series is one of the crown jewels of classic-styled indie RPGs. Created by Spiderweb Software, this seven-game ensemble takes you from the beginning to the end of an adventure spanning decades that changes the world. Avernum begins as an underground prison for the people the Empire wishes to get rid of, but over time you'll see the land evolve, lead an expedition to the surface, start a rebellion, and much, much more in these huge adventures.

Get ready to die a whole bunch!

Arkandian Legends Chapter 3: Explorer Undefined delivers another engrossing, addictive installment in the casual turn-based RPG series full of new races, treasure, streamlined battling, and more. Search for four fragments of a key throughout dungeons that are never the same twice in your quest to become a hero and enter the fortress of a legendary archmage.

Legend of the Void 2: The Ancient Tomes A day in The Void just wouldn't be complete without some bandits, skeletons, necromancers and wolves attacking you. Now though, he stands on the precipice of levels nine through twelve, and they're filled with Deadly Rooms of Death of all kinds! Caravel Games' series of turn-based puzzle-strategy games gets just a bit more hair-pulling in DROD: King Dugan's Dungeon Lite - Episode 3.

Join Beethro Budkin, exterminator extraordinaire as he seeks to slay all the underground creatures in King Dugan's Dungeon. With its emphasis on exploration and puzzle-solving, Flash DROD is a perfect gateway for those intimidated by turn-based strategy, while still fun to hardcore genre fans looking for the challenge of finding optimal solutions. It's a bit slow to start, but stick around and you'll fall in love with the game's cunning design and impish sense of humor.

You play John Turner, a reluctant vampire armed with guns, claws, a baseball bat, and a sense of vengeance. In this turn-based game, you form chains of multi-colored icons to attack hordes of richly-animated bad guys in a comic-book like world. A new class system and added features enhance the gameplay over the original.

Immortal Souls Immortal Souls puts you in the role of John Turner, a street racer-turned vampire who out to protect New Haven from the forces of darkness. This comic-book like, turn-based RPG has detailed art and animation to go with its numerous epic battles. Can you help the forces of light overcome the forces of darkness?

Eschalon: Book II Two years after your victory in the first game, Eschalon Book II finds you living a quiet life... perhaps too quiet, since your skills are beginning to erode, and you find yourself forgetting important details, but troubled by strange dreams. When you awake to find a note on your doorstep from a stranger who claims to know who you really are, you find that the adventure has only just begun in this turn-based isometric RPG featuring open world gameplay.
