The deadline looms for casting your votes for the best games of 2012! It was the best of times, it was the worst of times... wait, wait no. It's totally just the best of times, because it's time for the Best of 2012! Tell you what, if Charles Dickens had had all the awesome games that came out this past year, his work would have been a darned sight cheerier. After all, how can you not be excited when you have games about uncoordinated unicorns, random fire hazards in space, stories as currency, ponies with a passion for dental hygeine, and kitties that force you to confront the harsh inevitability of death?
Each year our "Best of" the year awards eclipse all years to have come before, and 2011 was an excellent year for excellent games. Just take a look at all the creative wonders that have earned the title of "Best of 2011" and see for yourself! You are sure to find many games worthy of your time among the Top 5 presented for each category, including an all-new Game of the Year award we're introducing for the first time this year. These games represent the very best of all the games we covered in 2011, and we thank you kindly for participating with us by voting for your favorites!
And the sun didst set upon another year. But whilst we travel bravely into 2012, blinking uncertainly but hopefully into that great blinding light that is the future, let us not forget... 2011 frickin' rocked, dude! That's right, dearly beloved, it's that time again... for you fine folks to vote for your favourite games that we covered during ye olde 2011.
Wow. We covered so many games in 2010 that our Best of the Year awards turned out to be the largest feature we've ever compiled. 29 categories, hundreds of games and thousands of votes have produced the results that are now up online.
Another year has come and gone, and while you might be ready for 2011 to rock you like a hurricane, let's not forget the past so soon. We happen to think 2010 deserves a bit more than a parting affectionate fist-bump or an awkward promise to keep in touch. That's right, dear reader; it's time for the Best of 2010, where you and others like you with a passion for games, creativity, innovation, and fun come together to vote for the best of the best in every category.
After nearly 40,000 votes counted and compiled, we are pleased to present the results of the Best of 2009! This year it was all up to you, the JIG community, to hand out the awards to those games that earned the most votes. In a few categories the JIG editorial team has chosen a game to share the award to be sure some notable titles received the recognition and praise that we feel they deserve, but we didn't have to work very hard because we agreed with most of your selections!
Another year for the record books, 2009 sure had its ups and downs. Throughout the year we aimed to bring you the very best online, mobile and downloadable casual games available on the Web, and now it's time for you to choose the best of the best, la crème de la crème. Yes, it's time for our sixth annual Jay is Games "Best of" feature. Vote for your favorite games of 2009! Vote now, and vote once per day during the voting period!

Thanks to the thousands who voted (we received close to 25,000 votes) the results for the Best of 2007 are now up. It is difficult to believe another year has passed, but we have tons of games and reviews to show for it. And what better way to celebrate the passing of another year than with a look back to give credit where credit is due by giving props to those special titles that stood head and shoulders above the rest. This is our fourth annual "Best of" feature and, like each year before, we invite you to participate. Update: RESULTS ARE IN!
After much deliberation and talking amongst ourselves, the JIG collective has come up with its picks for the Best of Casual Gameplay 2006 and published the results, along with the voting results from you. It wasn't easy, and we did the best we could considering there were more games reviewed here last year than any one person could have played.
The nominations for this year's Best of 2006 awards are now up and the virtual voting booths have officially opened! We'll be taking your votes for the next several days up until the dawning of the new year when we present the very best in casual gameplay that we enjoyed throughout 2006. Play along or just browse through the nominations and relive those cherished moments from the year.
The Best of 2005 is a celebration of the best games reviewed here at Jayisgames over the past year. It is not an exhaustive list of all the best games available since we can only review the games that we come to know about. For this year's Top 10 list there are ...20 games! Yes, that's right. There were too many great games released in 2005 to narrow the list to just 10. So, without any further ado, here are the games you picked as the Best of 2005:

For the Best of 2004's Top 10 list, I used a combination of votes received from the voting page and of the favorite games that have been saved using the Favorites feature. Unlike the other awards and honorable mentions posted previously, the Top 10 represents the voice of the people. My sincere thanks go out to each and every one of you who visit...
What would an awards ceremony be without the requisite special categories and lifetime achievement awards? These special awards were created for giving recognition and praise to the people who have contributed much to the industry as a whole, and yet whose work did not make it into the top awards for the evening.
