Any chance you'd be willing to post the four runners-up for Game of the Year (as you have with each of the sub-categories)? I figure there's no downside, and it can only help provide a bit more publicity for some excellent games.

With one exception, the games I cared about most placed somewhere in the top five in their category, though usually around three or four.

The one exception is Escape from Puppy Death Factory, which I suppose can now be referred to as an overlooked gem. It's a truly elegant little game, like a Metroid-like but without the genre-defining power-ups.

[We thought about doing that for Game of the Year, but ultimately decided against it to give the winner in this overall category all the glory it deserves. Besides, the GOTY voting wasn't even close. -Jay]

Kudos and ponies for all this! I was however mightily shocked to see Device off the list entirely. Putting that on my Don't Overlook list.

Nothing for Treasure Adventure Story? That was a beautiful, funny, thoughtful, involving game, and I'm surprised it didn't get at least a nod here. Shameful, bro.

[I take it you didn't check all the categories. https://jayisgames.com/best-of/2011/indie/adventure-results/ -Jay]

Minor problem, at the final category the next category link doesn't take you back to the introduction.

[Thanks, should be fixed now. I'm doing some efficiency improvements on the pages, which should ultimately make my life a lot easier once all the kinks are worked out. -Jay]

A lot of well-deserved victories - especially Kingdom Rush, in my opinion. Just an outstanding game all around... can't wait to see the sequel (hopefully) soon! :D

What about the editor's choice? :D

I was hoping that Starwish would be the game of the year.
Was it anywhere near it?

Wow. The selections are eerily similar to those on Nintendo Enthusiast's indie games of the year.

Kingdom Rush, Treasure Adventure Game, Hermit Rabi, Wonderputt, The Book of Living Magic, amongst others.

My only question is where are Dig-N-Rig and Frozen Synapse?
