StumpedArtbegottiStraight from the ghastly hallows of Nitrome comes the hobbling horror of a humdinger, Stumped! If you're all right [sic] with tackling this challenging avoidance puzzler, you'll find that you are in fact a foot that can only make right turns (perhaps one of Dr. Frankenstein's high school biology projects?) by clicking or hitting the [spacebar]. Your goal is to reach the target by perpetually hopping on one foot until you reach the checkered finish area, while smashing pumpkins for bonus points. This might sound like a walk in the park, until you realize that you've got to dodge piercing spikes, frightening fire pits, eerie eyeballs, and many more devilish obstacles. Stumped is a quick Halloween treat with plenty of puzzling problems to pounce upon. Now that you've got your marching orders, hop to it!

thats sad not full review of a game what happened to lengthy amazing reviews with analysis and everything i miss the old jayisgames. now days i see game with hardly any reviews or analysis. thats really sad now days you guys are more focused on informing new games and less good reviews.bring it back the very good reviews you people use to do. where is dora and johnb when you need them and what happen steve you tired of writing reviews. take your own time maybe a day a so but write a good review for people who visit the site for the reviews. as you said it yourself we filter the crap so that you don't have to. so reviews help us do that. this is a request and i am saying this as politely as i can so please good reviews back

[Many games don't need a full review, this one included. It's just a simple little one-button mini-game. We're still reviewing games that warrant a full review. -Jay]

It's a little hard to control at first, and I don't know whether it's rewarding to persist. But the instant respawn is a big helper in a game where it's so easy to make mistakes.

review235, as Jay says, some games don't need a long article. In most cases, a game being on this site should be recommendation enough, but there are games that, while we enjoy, are just too simple for us to talk much about them without sounding as if we're spinning our wheels. After all, if there's not that much to the game but it's fun and looks great, and that's something you can tell yourself within five minutes of starting, why not just say that and let you get to playing instead of running our mouths?... uh, keyboards. For games that are more complex (in any sense), you'll still see the longer reviews because there's more to talk about and explain.

As for this game itself, I always love Nitrome's presentations, but the movement just drove me batty. You shouldn't take that as a non-recommendation... I think I've just turned into a more impatient gamer in general and I'm not interested in things that have me think ahead.

... which probably says bad things about me.

First off, I've never really been a big fan of Hallowe'en games, but since it was Nitrome, I thought I should at least give it a chance. I'm sorry to say that I personally don't like it. The foot moves a little too fast for me and I found myself stuck on the second level.

It would have been more helpful if the foot could be still at the start of the level so that players can get an overview of the level, then click to "hop" into it. (Please excuse the pun.) While I won't be playing this any longer, I am very excited to see what the 100th game will be.
