OptikaI remember at school when we learnt physics. I really like optics because it was nice, and because our teachers gave us lasers, mirrors and lenses, and we did cool experiments, and blew up balloons, and burned a table, and got all school evacuated because of fire hazard... School was a great time. Indeed.

But let's get to our business. Optika, by PlayZilla, is one great game about, well, optics. Optika is game of light, of mirrors, lenses and other strange contraptions and tools that will help you manipulate light and achieve your goal, to lead the light from light emitters and fill the light receivers. But beware, because not all the emitters are the same, some focus the light and some spread it away, and the receivers are sensitive, some need specific color of light, and some might break apart if too much light is getting into them.

Optika feels a little like The Incredible Machine series. Each level features a set of tools that needs to be moved, scaled or tweaked, all in order to reach the level's goal - to fill all the receivers for long enough to reach the next level. The tutorial shows and explains each tool in the game, but no further help is given, so I found myself returning to the tutorial occasionally for help, but after a few levels I found myself getting along pretty easily.

The graphics in Optika are pretty special, as a game about light. Light is shown in the game as colored particles. Each particle acts, of course, in a similar way like real light. the tools in the game, mainly the realistic ones, also resemble the tools in real optics. That gives the game a realistic feeling, which will probably be appealing to physics lovers like me. Just a little warning here, you can pretty easily turn all you screen into a glittery mess. The soundtrack in relaxing and creates an enjoyable experience.

In summary, Optika is a great game for those who remember tweaking small gears and mirrors in The Incredible Machine. The game's graphics and levels create a beautiful experience for the contraption and optics lovers, and for anyone who loves a good puzzle.

This game is tagged "Flash" and "Free" but there's only a demo version and a full version, so it should be marked 'Demo' not 'Free', right? Also, (a little more certain), it's a download game, not a flash game.

Just want to send a note of thanks to everyone who's keeping up with posting games and comments. I really appreciate it and enjoyed this review - substantial and sweet to read. Thanks guys.
