Aries Escape: Episode No. 16 width=

TrickyLooking for a little drive-time diversion? Well tune yourself in to WJIG! Gamin' 94.7! Home of the Cazh! We've got Aries Escape coming up with their latest hit, Aries Escape: Episode No. 16. Word has it that you came to the radio station thinking that your boyfriend would be there. But while looking around, presumably thrilled by the equipment, stacks of CDs, and unending piles of promotional bumper stickers, you somehow managed to get yourself lost. ("Somehow" being the operative word for me. Personally most of my on-air experience has been of the "room tucked away in some corner of the student union" variety) And, son of a gun, as seems to so often be the case in your life, the door to the room you're in doesn't seem to want to open. Being the 12th caller won't help now. It's time to start pointing, clicking and solving all manner of puzzles to have even a chance of escape before the afternoon all-music rock block. So don't even think of touching that dial!

Aries Escape: Episode No. 16As per usual, click around to move and interact, using the white arrows that appear at the edges of the screen to navigate, and double-click an item in your inventory to view it up close. And don't forget your disembodied torso off to the right! You'll be needing to interact with that too (and, gotta say, it's looking a bit more chic than the Aries Escape: Episode No. 14 variation.) Remember: some objects may have multiple views, or can only be interacted with once other puzzles are solved. The translation of the game into English is perfectly serviceable (save for a couple of points when it says "I need some kind of tools", but what you use to solve the puzzle wouldn't really considered a "tool" per se), and should be adequate all the way to the HAPPY END. Other than a little muddled navigation with the "turn" arrows, and the possibility of missing the (blatant plug of a) bonus puzzle at the end for not being sharped-eyed enough, Aries Escape: Episode No. 16 is a perfect example of a cleanly-designed user-friendly escape game that fans of the genre will definitely find satisfying. One could also see its accessibility being very attractive to beginners, certainly if they would be playing alongside someone more experienced with the conventions of the series. Overall, it's a charming experience that bodes well for future works from the developer. Anyways, stay tuned for traffic at the top of the hour, with our very own SkyDora. This is Tricky, signing off!

That was fun! Managed to find both endings. I loved that there were lots of puzzles, though I certainly agree the navigation is a little clunky (not always obvious when the arrows will take you to a different view, or back to the main view). There was also one "that wasn't really obvious, but okay" moment when getting the clue for one of the puzzles. Otherwise, mostly straightforward logic!

Also

if my boyfriend scolded me, I'd tell him to go take a time out. I'm assuming it's something that got lost in translation, but bad boyfriend! :P

Well, I've hit a block.

I'm staring at these @ symbols and I think they're related to the sticky notes but I can't find the connection

POP! Out with both endings!

Definitely some moments of '???' but I liked it!

I'm stuck on the up/down switch box. I don't seem to even have a clue for it, and I feel like I've looked all over. The only thing I have left in my inventory is a telescope.

There may not be a connection.

My goodness, what lovely flowers!

Have you looked everywhere?

Like maybe at yourself?

I too am down to a part of a telescope.

Wow, thanks, rainmist! I knew it would be somewhere right in front of me.

I have no idea where to look for a clue...

Ah, there was a tricky bit that had me held up for a while. When you want to enter the Login code on the computer, you probably have two codes you're trying to choose between:

the security code from the next room (for which you'll need a telescope) or the code from the Post-It on the bulletin board

But neither of these seem to work.

The trick is

to omit the space from the code on the Post-It

I can't tell you how much time I spent being thwarted by that!

I got the normal ending. Anyone know what's necessary to get the other ending?

The second/Happy ending

Much like a tesshi-e happy escape, there is something that changes

Something becomes clickable that wasn't before

in fact, 3 somethings

I still can't understand the connection between 5-pin box and

"looking on yourself". Because that smartphone does nothing

@Orient Tiger

Have you taken a look at the speaker?

Wow, it was high enough to consider it just a background element. Thanks.

Not quite there...

I've got into the laptop but can't seem to do anything with it; I have the telescope and the security code but not sure where that goes. I think I know what to do with the levers but only have 4 of the 5. I've opened all boxes that I've found. Where to look next?

Something to do with the books and the clock?
