10 Gnomes #11

KarmenOn the first day of 10 Gnomes, I looked and tried to see a small gnome in a stone niche.

On the second day of 10 Gnomes, I looked and tried to see two pale hats and a small gnome in a stone niche.

On the third day of 10 Gnomes, I looked and tried to see three other gnomes, two pale hats and a small gnome in a stone niche.

On the fourth day of 10 Gnomes, I looked and tried to see four on a roof, three other gnomes, two pale hats and a small gnome in a stone niche.

On the fifth day of 10 Gnomes, I looked and tried to see five pearl-white beards, four on a roof, three other gnomes, two pale hats and a small gnome in a stone niche.

On the sixth day of 10 Gnomes, I looked and tried to see six in pajamas, five pearl-white beards, four on a roof, three other gnomes, two pale hats and a small gnome in a stone niche.

On the seventh day of 10 Gnomes, I looked and tried to see seven next to statues, six in pajamas, five pearl-white beards, four on a roof, three other gnomes, two pale hats and a small gnome in a stone niche.

On the eighth day of 10 Gnomes, I looked and tried to see eight gnomes-a-hiding, seven next to statues, six in pajamas, five pearl-white beards, four on a roof, three other gnomes, two pale hats and a small gnome in a stone niche.

On the ninth day of 10 Gnomes, I looked and tried to see nine faces peeking, eight gnomes-a-hiding, seven next to statues, six in pajamas, five pearl-white beards, four on a roof, three other gnomes, two pale hats and a small gnome in a stone niche.

On the tenth day of 10 Gnomes, I looked and tried to see ten gnomes altogether, nine faces peeking, eight gnomes-a-hiding, seven next to statues, six in pajamas, five pearl-white beards, four on a roof, three other gnomes, two pale hats and a small gnome in a stone niche.

On the eleventh day of 10 Gnomes, I looked and tried to see eleven creatures staring, ten gnomes altogether, nine faces peeking, eight gnomes-a-hiding, seven next to statues, six in pajamas, five pearl-white beards, four on a roof, three other gnomes, two pale hats, and a small gnome in a stone niche.

Well, the twelfth day of 10 Gnomes hasn't happened yet. So we're waiting for the twelfth game, with eleven chapters waiting, ten gnomes altogether, fa-la la-la-la-la-la.

It's sad to see Mateusz Skutnik's delightful hidden object series coming to an end. (Unlike this butchering of Christmas merriment, which, I promise, has stopped.) This penultimate installment of 10 Gnomes, titled "The Remains" takes place along a quiet village street, and might be one of the most charming and challenging yet. Can you find all the gnomes? Try for it yourself!

Or, go and replay all the 10 Gnomes games.

Cheers to Jamie for suggesting this one and thanks to Roland and Stacey for helping write the lyrics! =)

It is not with shame that I admit I just read that entire review to the actual tune of "Twelve Days of Christmas"...without skipping ahead and at the normal tempo. SO five minutes later, I'm now beginning the game. :D

Ok, so after about six attempts, I cannot get this game to load. All of a sudden this morning, Safari just freezes when I try to open games, and I can't understand why. It did the same thing when I tried to play Zilch, but just before I went through the Reemus series without a hitch.

Reply

It must be your Flash Player, Jacob, as I was able to get the game to load in Safari without a hitch.

yeah its commin to a end .... what he should do i pack them all up in a single flash after he's done....and put in like a race mode or somethin
this is a great hidden object seires and its a shame but as long as great games contiue from the creator we can look forward to his next games ... and enjoy them as much as we did the gnome seires.

ok first playthrough i found my self runing and circles several times:... 6 gnomes and the troll

Reply

Slight change to the format - I found

2 trolls!

I thought this was one of the easier gnomes games, although in a way it would be nice if there were no time limit as you just want to explore the environment.

Reply

I found 3 trolls....but only 7 gnomes so far.

back in for another go.

too many things to see, too little time...

I got 8 gnomes on my first try! I though I could only do it with the walkthrough, but maybe not. Also, Karmen, I loved your lyrics! It's sad that the series of games is ending. I've noticed that a lot of times, the setting is gloomy in 10 Gnomes. Keep up the good work, Mateusz!

this is my first walkthrough so bear with me... F.Y.I. I go counter clockwise im weird like that

right set of "places" (hint click on the tree to the right.

there isn't anything on this screen so click at the left side of the screen.
click on the top "glow box" display and click on the thing in the right side of the display YAY GNOME ONE

• there is nothing more here so go left 3 times

ok then still on "right set"

ok we are on the screen with the cannons
the click on the cannon on the left
• click on the hole thats sorta in the middle of the cannon barrel

click to the left of the main cannon screen

k next screen

we are on the screen with the rock that looks like a face

• click on the leftish-middle of the "higher porch"
• click on the rock with the big hole go left 3 times

for daymare monster 1

scene with the cool wooden door
• click on the bottom of the screen between the cool door and the left stair pillar
• click the drain thingie in the middle of this screen yay daymare 1 (from one of his other games)

go left 2 screens

gnome 4

screen with the wrought iron stuff
• there is a cool door on the left and click on the handle (under the umbrella-ish part of the handle)
YAY GNOME 4

go left 2 screens to the one with fancy stair pillars

daymare 2

ok so to fancy-ish pillars
• click on the top part of the right pillar
• click on the left part of the pillar in close up
Yay daymare 2

go left 2 screens to the screen with the big ball pillars

gnome 5

ok we are on the screen with the big ball pillars
• click on the top of the left pillar twice (you are looking at the ornament on top)
• look about 3 inches to the left of the "ornament"
• click on the left of the "wall accent" (i dunno what its called but its like a picket on a fence) whee gnomie
• ok we are done with this go to the place where you started (in the beginning) or just click the left of the screen

Ok back to the main screen we are going to the "middle section" click on the umbrellas that are on the left of the arch at the "end of the road" (not a pun)

Gnome 6

ok so we are at the screen with the steps that have a door on either side but there isn't any thing in this screen so click the left of this screen to go to the next one

ok, screen with ball pillars and Plants
• click on the flower box that is on the right side of the stairs (click a bit above it)
• click on the part of the left plant in the flower box that is sorta in between the thorn plant
YAY GNOME

go left one screen

Gnome 7

screen with the white dot thingies on each step
• click between the bottom two dots on the right side of the steps
• click on the big-ish white rock (its the bottom one if you are confused)
YAY GNOME

go left 3 screens

Gnome 8

screen with tall blocky pillars and two doors that are right of the stairs

You can get this gnome from both this screen and the one left of it This screen:
• click the bottom door that is on the left of the stairs.
• go way left (without clicking)
• click on the lighter planks (not to far left) yay gnomie between the boards
• when you click "go back" it will automatically take you to the scene left of the one you came from so from this new screen go left 2 screens

if you insist on doing it from the screen that has ball pillars with a "board walk" on the right :

• click the planks / "board walk" to the right of these stairs (heh under the board walk)
• click on the lighter planks (not to far left)

go back out and click left two screens

daymare

ok so this is a screen with "lamps" on either side of the stairs
• click the bottom portion of the lamp on the left of the stairs
• click under the bottom of the lamp (swirly thingie)
Yay daymare

so go 3 screens left to the shot of the wall

gnome 9

the scene with the wall
• look in the middle of the wall where it gets shorter
• click on the "pole" section in between the taller wall on the left and the shorter on the left
• click on the mouth of the "dragon"

Last daymare troll:

Start at the left side of the first street scene. Go right four screens, you should be at a screen with three lanterns. Click on the leftmost one, and then on the iron bracket.

The last episode of Ten Gnomes? I'm sad. I love this series! I'll have to play the parts again.
I only hope this means Mr.Skutnik is too busy making another part of Submachine.

Reply

This one is not the last, it's the "penultimate" episode, which means there is just one more. :)

I actually managed to do surprisingly well this time hoorah! Found 9 gnomes and 2 trolls my first go. The neighborhood is beautiful and I love the many unique perspectives this artistic game creates in seemingly ordinary situations. At the same time I'm frustrated with all the red herrings that creates!!

Reply

Ok, I finally got it to load and I kept getting stuck in views where I couldn't return. I get really frustrated really quickly, and after two goes with the timer running down and finally freeing me from isolated views, I don't feel the need to try it a third time.

I'd love to see these non-gnomes (I found the ...daymare, I think? Little black dude?), but I keep getting too frustrated when I look for them using the Walkthrough of "go left three times" and stuff, because instead of ending up at a cannon, I'm in the same place and can't go anywhere.

Reply

I found all the gnomes and two trolls on my first try.

This is a very good series.

Reply

Yay, I get mentioned!!!

I wrote a random review recently that was really terrible, I didn't realise that this one was already up. But thanks for the mention and I really love the song!

Now to play it...
