Everyone's favourite sleep-deprived family is back, and, yes, they're still ruling a kingdom full of jerks who won't let them get any shut-eye. Wake the Royalty Level Pack is here with all new stages of physics puzzle goodness where you devise elaborate contraptions to keep the royal family awake. Look, maybe this sort of thing flies in Square Kingdom or whatever, but I can promise you if you ever tried to wake me up by launching me off a narrow perch it'd be the last thing you ever did. Rudely-Awakened-Dora is not known for her kindness and mercy.
Gameplay is the same as the original; use the few tools at your disposal to some how manipulate the surroundings on each level to wake all of the family up. You have a limited number of objects than can be placed in certain spots, and it's all about figuring out what's going to trigger a big enough reaction to wake up whatever family members are desperately trying to take a snooze on screen. Just point, click, and experiment; if you get stuck, you can hit the restart button to, uh... restart. Keen!

While these twenty levels are fun and offer the same adorable, smooth design of the original, the problem is... it's essentially the same as the original. Everything you liked about the first game is still here, and while that's certainly not a bad thing, especially considering the two game's predecessor Wake the Box was also a hit with the same formula, you might hope for a little more evolution from one game to the next. Maybe the developer should have used a Moon Stone? HA! Get it?! 'Cause, evolution... and I said... *sigh* Nevermind. The game is still fun, sleek, and a nice bundle of physics mayhem to kick-start your brain.
I love the creativity and ingenuity of user levels... put enough gamers together and while you'll get a lot of dreck, you'll also get some incredible gems that the creators of the game simply would never have thought of.
A brief word of warning, though:
Level 20 will have you nearly tearing out your hair. Even with the walkthrough, it still took me a gazillion tries. You have to have pixel-perfect precision and split-second precise timing, it's infuriating.
But I suppose that makes it more fun.
...well, *I* liked the Moon Stone reference. :)
Really Sylocat? I think maybe you were trying too hard.
stuck on the level with the big spinning wheel
I was stuck on level 19... I had the basic idea, but didn't know quite how to execute it. Then level 20, I had basically no idea (well, I had a tiny idea, but didn't have any clue as to what to do afterwards), and got it on the 5th try or so after looking at the walkthrough
Nothing really new here, but I don't really mind that too much.
I didn't have any issue with level 20. I had a hard time with 17.
I'm stuck on level 8. I've tried everything I can think of.
I've tried putting the first block at the top of the thing that the ball goes in and out of. That makes it go side to side.
I don't know where to put the other block. Help me.
With regards level 8
Trap the ball inside the shape using a block
Level 17 is easy...after trying it a million times and realizing it's almost a one-click solution.
Attach one of the balls you are given to the ball with a ramp atop it -- this ball has a little x mark that shows it is able to turn. Adding the ball will weight it enough to turn, thus pulling the rope, which pulls down the platform it is attached to. The platform becomes a ramp, and all the balls will make their way quickly down into the basket. Add the second ball you are given to work with, and the combined weight will cause the king to quickly rise and wake up.
i'm stuck on level 10.. can anyone help me?
Help on #12 please?
