Analysis: The visual presentation of O Quarto was what originally drew me to the game. It has a very quiet, interactive painting feel to it. The visual cues and sound it plays when you discover an item is strangely rewarding. O Quarto also has a good sense of humor, though be warned that there are a few instances of words not quite safe for children.
As far as the puzzles go, O Quarto doesn't go to the extreme and hide things in completely undiscoverable places. Yes, you do have to do a bit of clicking, but for the most part you'll be able to find items fairly easily. Not too difficult but challenging enough to make it just right. When I first discovered the game I brought the link into our IRC chatroom for help. Thanks to the heroic efforts of Valarauka and Harukio, we managed to complete the game without any loss of sanity and/or limbs.
Great visual style, good puzzles and the possibility of a sequel, O Quarto is a worthy room escape game to spend your time on.

Okay, got it.
WARNING: This is a walkthrough.
Go right and turn on the light.
Go right, look under the foot of the bed for half a piece of paper.
Look under the pillow for a knife.
Go right, open the bedside drawer for a small chemistry set.
Go right again and use the knife on the bottome drawer (the one without the handle). Take the other piece of paper and the key underneath that.
Combine the two pieces of paper (view one, click the other, and the rest is easy).
Look by the left front leg of the chair for a red stone (your left, not the chair's left).
Use the key on the top drawer of the dresser to get a yellow stone (not the park). Take note of the pentagram pattern and the dried blood. It'll come in handy later.
Look underneath the dresser for a blue stone.
Look next to the dresser (between it and the wall) for the notebook laptop computer.
Look at the painting and take the dirty, green stone in the upper right-hand corner.
Don't zoome out just yet. Remember that piece of paper with the four square holes in your inventory? Hold it up to the painting (view it). This will give you the password to the laptop.
Go left and zoom in on the window. Notice that something is written on the upper left-hand pane.
View the chemistry set and make a random mixture (seriously, just start clicking colors and then click OK. It doesn't matter what it is). This will give you a chemical that emits a vapor.
Hold the chemical up to the window and take note of what is written.
Open the laptop and put in the password. Take note of both formulas as they will both be useful.
Using the information from the laptop and the window, create both formulas.
Go right and look under the left corner of the carpet (towards you). There is blood under there. Use the AntiOxidant on it to create Rust Remover.
View the Green Stone and use the acid on it to remove the dirt.
Go in either direction twice and use the rust remover on the rusty door handle. Then go through the door.
Look in the faucet. Grab the key.
Look at the mirror and hold the vapor up to it. There will be a hint there. Remember it.
Pull back the curtain.... AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!! Much as it pains me to say this, leave the curtain open.
Go back out and go in either direction twice. Use the new key on the middle drawer of the dresser. Take the hammer.
Go right once and turn off the lights.
Go right again and into the the bathroom. Look at the glowing, green X on the wall. Remember the hint on the mirror? Good. Now remember the location of that X.
Go back out, go left, and turn on the lights.
Go right and back into the bathroom.
Use the hammer on the part of the wall where the X was.
Grab the dark stone that falls onto the floor near the bathtub.
Zoom in on the safe. Remember the pentagram and the dried blood? Good. You should be able to figure it out by yourself. But in case you can't, here's another hint: Each stone corresponds to an image on each corner of the pentagram you saw based on their colors. Don't get the red and dark stones mixed up (the dried blood is a helpful memory).
Open the safe, grab the key, leave the loo, go left, use the key on the door and get the heck out.
You can grab the stones again if you want, but it really doesn't affect anything.
