What Do We Do Now?

Blink and you'll miss it, but if you love simple yet clever point-and-click puzzle games, you'll still want to fire up Sean James McKenzie's What Do We Do Now? Made for the 2015 Global Game Jam in under 48 hours, each bite-sized level tasks you with figuring out what you need to do in order to advance to the next level without any directions whatsoever. Each stage is a different sort of puzzle, and simply by clicking around (sometimes dragging things with your mouse), you'll gradually figure out the goal of the level and how to go about achieving it. Though some might feel it ends just as it's really getting warmed up, it still showcases some smart ideas and encourages you to play to puzzle them out. Hopefully it's a concept that gets expanded on in the future, but as it stands, if you only have a little window to play, What Do We Do Now? is a great choice.

Fun concept, but it needs to be expanded on. the review is right that it ends just as its getting warmed up.

Wow, extremely short but sweet! I hope they'll expand on it.

Utterly clueless on the turning squares.

I have a horrible feeling it's probably insanely easy and I can't see it for looking.

Nice!
But need more, More, MORE! :)

I only figured that one out after I got it by accident...

The red side of the moving square needs to touch the red-colored fixed square, and the same for blue.

I knew I had to get like to like. I just don't see how to get both at the same time.

Just red or just blue is simple.
Both seems impossible.

For the turning squares: there may be other solutions, but here's how I did it.

Note that, when you fly the upper box to the far left (by clicking the lower left arrow), it'll end up facing the same way when you rotate it to the right four times.

So, if you get the upper box into the correct facing first, you can then rotate the lower box to the left (again with the lower left arrow) as many times as you need to get IT into the correct facing, without any further effect on the upper box.

Upper right arrow, lower left, upper right four times.

Thanks man, I'd have never got that on my own.

Quite a cool little puzzler that was.

I feel like this latest submachine game has gotten *really* lazy.

Hi Dora (and commenters). Thanks for the nice writeup and all your comments. I just thought I'd drop by to say

1) THANKS!... for playing, reviewing, pay attention, whatever! Means a lot.
2) I am indeed working on a much longer followup called Now What Do We Do? Rules forbid dropping links so I won't insert one here, but the new game in development has its own website of same name.

Thanks again for playing!
