Wanna Oranges?

Johnny123 Jolly Mouse's newest title, Wanna Oranges?, is a heartbreaking tale of one man's quest to survive in a world ravaged by plague. Just kidding. There's a cute panda and you have to feed it oranges. Do pandas eat oranges? Who cares! This physics puzzle is all about what's wholesome and fun. Click the floating ice blocks to destroy them, setting your Rube Goldbergian plan in motion, guiding the orange past spikes and platforms. Timing is key. There's stars to collect on the way, some of which expire after a few seconds. You've got to plan your path quickly if you want to keep your little endangered bear friend from crying. Don't let the kid-friendly aesthetic fool you. Wanna Oranges? has plenty of brain-scratching puzzles to keep you motivated.

The latter half in particular offers some especially devious levels, but the physics are especially worthy of note. They're crisp and quick, with not a floaty object nor clipping issue to be seen. Everything falls right where it's supposed to and it does so with speed and precision, making each orange live and die by your skills. It's reminiscent of physics puzzlers like Wake the Royalty and maybe Cover Orange (what is it with physics games and oranges, anyway?). There are a few puzzles halfway through that feel a bit out of place, some slightly easier than expected and a few where the solution isn't totally clear even after you've beat the level, but the vast majority are pure physics fun. Add a sugary sweet art style and you've got a real winner. Wanna Oranges? might not be grammatically correct, or provide accurate dietary recommendations for raising a panda, but it's got charm oozing out of every pore and puzzle challenge to match. Check it out. That panda's getting hungry.

I gave up on this game as soon as every level started to be designed for you to fail while you were looking at it to figure it out and then also required precision timing rather than puzzle solving. I resorted to the walkthrough a few times and I was done at level 21. That lazy panda should learn some climbing skills and get his own oranges. :-(

Pandas don't even eat oranges.

I agree with shipoopie, though I didn't get as far as Level 21 before I got over it.

It also doesn't help that the physics "get the round thing to the certain area" game has been done so many times that a new one has to offer something more unique than just a different round item/character.

Cute. Agreed that precision timing can be frustrating, especially when I thought my timing was awesome only to see my lead weight disappear on the lower right ramp on level 24. It's always fun to earn awards on this type of game; makes it more unique.

I agree. Just another round-thing physics puzzler. The timing puzzles got too annoying by level 15. And, as Catherine pointed out, pandas don't even eat oranges.

If feels a lot like the creators are trying to "cash in" on something similar to "Cut the rope". The puzzles can sometimes (only sometimes) be creative but most of them feel bland, and as others have pointed out they're set up to make you fail and the timing aspect doesn't help.

Also the animations aren't very pretty...
