Dark clothing? Check. Flashlight? Check. Someone else's house? Check. Checklist? Check. Gold bar? ...Working on it. Even if you don't find it, you're still The Very Organized Thief in this game be Redefinition Games. In this stealth/puzzle you play a burglar in the night, and you have a randomized list of things to take. Use [WASD] to move around, and the mouse to look around. [Q] pulls up your handy list, [E] toggles your flashlight, the left [shift] key lets you run, and [spacebar] interacts with objects. If an object is the item you're looking for, the mouse-over text will read "take (item)". Just don't dawdle too long. You never know when someone might interrupt. Remember to be stealthy and escape through the front door!
The physics of The Very Organized Thief could use some refinement: even once you have the hang of moving around, you'll find yourself knocking over things you never meant to touch. The quality of the game easily surpasses its minor flaws, though, especially since it was created in a little over seven days. The developers have even expressed interest in possibly expanding on this in the future. If you like vaguely creepy atmospheric sound, you'll want to play this while wearing headphones in a dark room. The randomization of the list is another touch that gives the game replay value, as are little details like the office key that's in a different place each time and the stacks of cash that are hidden throughout the game. Now if only you could avoid that one creaky floorboard in real life...
Spent most the time trying to work the controls. Meanwhile I'm caught and game ends.
escaped with 34864 loot in 4 minutes
Cannot change to inverted mouse y-axis. Unplayable, unfortunately.
Let's see: First-person Unity, which is inherently nauseating to me, plus physics that could use some refining? Nooo, thank you.
There are so many games that sound so very interesting to me, but I dare not even try them because experience tells me that Unity will make me very sick. This is a real shame.
Physics were tough, but overall this is fun. The challenge isn't all that tough, though.
It seems like once you hear the bell chime, just head upstairs, and clean up in there until the lady comes home. She ends up standing someplace downstairs, and you can work around her pretty easily.
I beat the game by making a mess and never seeing anyone. Also, my stats were $37,963 in 9 min 15 sec. Beat THAT!I was impressed with the physics. Unsure about if it is bad or not, but it still was impressive. 4/5.
I LOVE this game!!! I've played it five times now and I'll keep going back to it. It is great for a quick break. Some of the mechanics are clunky and there are a couple of glitches, but it is nothing that can not be worked around. I still find the gameplay enjoyable. I love the atmosphere too.
Best personal score so far: $38055 in 3 minutes 44 seconds
Quickest so far, getting all the loot but not all the money: $36,800 in 2m53s. Going slowly, I haven't yet broken $40K ...
where do i get:
The gold bar.
How do I open the safe?
And how do I open the locked doors?
As someone who gets freaked out by the caves in Minecraft and any dark areas of my house, this was pretty much the amount of fear I can handle without quitting outright.
The main selling point of the game is when the owner comes home and you're in a tough spot, so you hide in a wardrobe or behind an open closet door in a panicked attempt of stealth.
the Very Organised Thief is a very good game, i like the first person game mode, the way that it is made on the unity engine, and that there are not 1, but 2 possible escape routes! I would rate this game a 10/10! Also, my stats were $38,969 loot, and everything was collected without the owner coming home, and the overall time was 2 minutes and 27 seconds. if anybody beats those stats, please post it to my timeline.
Guys..... No offence... But your times aren't that good... i got 37k in 1 min 38 seconds Which is my best time so far.... You just need to keep track of all the Item locations... Each item only has 4-5 Main locations... learn them all and you will raise your time.
38386$ In 3 minutes and 14 seconds ♥
Can you really hide forever from the owner? Or is he/she wallhacking?
i figured that if you get in the laundry and push the fridge in front of it you can hide there and she cant get there
donhuando:
You can get the goldbar by opening the safe.
1) Go to the laundry room next to the kitchen.
2) Open the power box on the wall and cut the red wire by mousing over it and pressing space. You have to do this to disable the alarm so the owner doesn't come when you open the safe.
DON'T cut any other wires before you cut the red one!
If you do so, this will set the alarm off and the owner will come more quickly.
3) Go find the office key.
4) Unlock the office upstairs and open the top desk drawer.
5) There will be a number written on a piece of paper there.
6) Go to the safe and punch this number into the keypad. You might have to go closer to the safe for this since the keys are pretty small.
7) Take the goldbar!
Hope this helped.
my personal best is 1min 56 secs
I just got 1min 33 HELL YEAH
The Gold Bar is in the Safe and the code to the safe is in the Locked Door. There should be a key to the Locked Door in the garage or next to the phone in the living room. In the room with the washing machine, there is a black box with a red, blue and green wire in it. Cut them all staring from the wire on the right and finishing on the wire on the left. This turns off the power so the safe's alarm doesn't go off when you open it. Once you have gotten the key and cut the wires, you unlock the locked door and you should find yourself in an office. Open the upper drawer of the desk and a 4 number code should be there. That is the code to the safe. Copy the code, open the safe and you have the gold bar!
$38041 loot in 2 min 12 secs... Not too bad for my 4th attempt! :)
