It's great when a game sets out to do something and just nails it, whether it's story, design, or controls. For Stick Figure Badminton 2 from Effing Games, it's the physics, which will satisfy even the most picky players.
Use [WASD] or the [arrow] keys to move around the court, while pressing [S] or [spacebar] to hit the birdie. The game features a nice assortment of opponents with different playing styles and if you prefer the human touch and don't mind sharing a keyboard, you can enter two-player mode with a friend. Regular badminton players will appreciate the smooth way the game handles smashes, drives and drops and non players will get a great introduction to the game that will make them want to go outside in the sunshine and play for real. How many other flash games can say that?
Felt pretty satisfied with this game. More can be added onto it in future version
Every player has the same weakness. They can't handle balls coming in at a high angle. game was alright.
I enjoyed this game a lot. It did make me wanna go play badminton for real. It also reminded me of that time playing in gym class where I got way too into it and started yelling at my partner and throwing my racket.
What vastly irritates me about this game is how difficult it is to hit fast drops.
There are so many moments where I position myself perfectly for a highly satisfying drop ball point, and my character does a highly UNsatisfying high ball instead. Which my opponent follows up with a lob and an easy point.
Some polishing of controls with some variety in hit types would make this a very enjoyable game.
