Monkey GO Happy North Pole

You know what they say about the weather re: it being delightful, right? Well, it may be snowing, but Pencil Kids' signature simians aren't very cheerful in their latest installment of the point-and-click puzzle series, Monkey GO Happy North Pole. Santa's workshop is a shambles, and obviously you can't have Christmas without a stranger bringing you lots of material items via breaking and entering! Click around to gather and use items, and keep an eye out for clues! As usual, this superbly seasonal game from Pencil Kids is short and sweet, enough for a coffee (or eggnog?) break. I'm not saying that if you don't play this game, Christmas won't come because Santa will still be stuck in his workshop... I'm just saying, why risk it?

Walkthrough

Signpost scene

The snowman wants 15 snowballs. Well, there's three of them in this scene, that's a start, right?

Cabin scene

The cabin needs a yellow key. The bearded guy wants a fishing pole. Note the numbers written on the cliff behind bearded guy.

22:35

Collect three snowballs.

Igloo scene

The penguin wants a fish. There's a red key under the small pile of snow in front of the penguin. Note the writing on the ground where the key was.

4 = H

Collect three snowballs.

In front of Santa's Workshop

Note the flashing Christmas lights.

Counting the lightbulbs from left to right, the 5th bulb flashes, then the 8th, then the 2nd, then the 1st.

Collect three snowballs.

Inside Santa's Workshop

(In case it's not obvious, use the red key you found near the penguin to open the door to the workshop.)
Middle room

The toy machine isn't working, looks like we need to find some parts for it. Note the code on the wall.

2 = I

Right room

The computer wants us to insert a CD.

Left room

Santa needs some toys before he can leave. Collect three snowballs. Note the dial puzzle next to the ladder.

The dials have 12 positions each, just like a clock. You've seen a clue that might be clock-related.

Set the dials as if they were the hands of a clock, so the "little hand" (inner dial) points to the hour (10, which is 22 translated to 12-hour time), and the "big hand" (outer dial) points to the minutes (35, aka 7).

Upper room

Get the yellow key. Note the code.

1 = F

There's a dangling light fitting, but no lightbulb.

Cabin

Use the yellow key to open the door to the cabin. Get the lightbulb and the fishing rod. Note the code on the wall to the right.

3 = S

Click the panel on the wall and put in the code.

FISH

Get the compact disc.

Cabin scene

Give the bearded guy the fishing pole; get a mackerel in return.

Signpost

Give the snowman the 15 snowballs. Get the wheel.

Igloo

Give the penguin the mackerel. Get the lever.

Inside Santa's Workshop

  • In the middle room, put the lever into the into the semicircle thingy above the elf's head.

  • In the right room, put the CD into the slot on the left.

  • In the upper room, put the lightbulb into the fitting. Go right.

  • Put the wheel onto the hole, then turn it. Go left twice.

  • Put the code from the Christmas lights into the panel (top left is 1, bottom right is 9).

    Middle center, bottom center, top center, top left.

    Get the gear.

  • Go back to the middle room and put the gear into the machine on the right. Pull the lever down. Yay, presents!

  • In the left room, click the panel on the wall behind the sled and wait for the presents to tumble out. Wait, what's this handle-like object? Pick up the pipe.

  • Go up the ladder, then left. Put the pipe onto the smoking holes.

  • Go back down and press the big button on the left to open the door. Click on Santa to send him on his way.

I don't know what it is about these monkey games, but I can't get enough of them. Super adorable as always, with clever but straightforward clues.

Possibly sad large monkey, depending on which one you choose.

OK, this one had some puzzle answers that I just could not find or which didn't make sense how they were used.

How did the Christmas lights translate to those blocks? The pattern made no sense. I also don't know what the clue for the dials was.

Have the rating systems always been mushrooms, or have I just noticed a slight change in colour/style/something?

I brute-forced the dial next to the ladder behind Santa

The outer ring was in approximately the 8 o'clock position, and the inner ring waseither the 5 or the 9ish position.

Sorry, it disappeared as soon as I hit the right combination

If that helps anyone

@merchantfan

The blocks are in a 3x3 grid. Imagine they are labelled 1-9 as follows:

1 2 3
4 5 6
7 8 9

I think you have to press the buttons in the same order as the flashing lights.

The Christmas tree lights give you

the code for the keypad on the left once you've put in the lightbulb above the ladder

Everything worked out once I could get up the ladder. I still don't know where you're meant to find the clue for that one.

Ah, thankyou for such a quick reply.
I kinda like it, it's apt.

Here's where you find out what to set the dials to for the ladder...

There's a 'time' shown above the fisherman.

It's showing 22:35

@Catherine Kissmyshhhhh, re dial:

I think the clue for the dial is next to the fisherman (on the rock). In my game, it said 22:35, or 10:35, if you think of it as a time.

The dials represent the short hand and long hand of a clock. To open it, you need to set the long hand (outer dial) to the minutes (in my case 35) and the short hand (inner dial) to the hours (10).

I can't figure out the grid for the life of me, looked at the Xmas lights, back to grid, keep trying, can't get it!

The Grid took me a while:

Think of the grid as a phone numberpad (specifically, not a keyboard numberpad).

Then, watch the flashy lights, and number them 1-9 from left to right.

From there, you should be able to work out which numbers on the grid to press.
