Lo.Nyan's Room Escape 15

The cat is back, and you know what that means... it's time for a Lo.Nyan's escape game, Lo.Nyan's Room Escape 15! The room you're trapped in this time seems pleasantly mellow, with relaxing decor and beautiful sunny windows, though of course we're not here to admire the aesthetic. Just click on things to interact with them, and use the transparent bars that appear at the edges of the screen when you mouse over them to move around the room. Don't worry, you don't need to be able to read Japanese to solve the game, but you will need to keep an eye out for clues, because this seemingly ordinary and fashionable room hides plenty of puzzles and secrets. You may have to look at something a different way, and as usual, once you find the camera, you'll be able to use it to take photographs of any clues you find so that you can refer to them in your inventory whenever you need to. Handy! So resist that urge to curl up on that cozy couch in a sunbeam... we've got a room to escape from!

Walkthrough Guide

Walkthrough

(This is a pretty step-by-step walkthrough, although I do expect you to have taken at least a cursory look around the room.)

Yellow book (key to keys)

It's in the bottom drawer of the shelf that has the mini-piano.

Nail polish

Get the pink nail polish.

It's on the mirrored tray, on the low cabinet with the clock.

Put the polish between the other two bottles.

It goes in the little blue box on the mirrored vanity (next to the dress).

Get the key from the drawer. (♑ = Capricorn)

Per the yellow book, it's for the bottom drawer of the desk.

While you're here, click the mirror to see some numbers on the nail polishes.

Yellow 4, red 5, blue 8

There are also some letters on the front of the blue box.

G [space] I

Camera

Use the Capricorn (♑) key to open the bottom drawer of the desk and get the camera. You can use the camera to take pictures of the clues you find but can't pick up. For practice, you can go back to the vanity table and take pictures of the numbers in the mirror and the two letters on the front of the blue box.

Key holder

Turn to the desk and zoom in on the 3x3 shelf on the wall above it. Click the little box next to the 3x3 shelf. Use the code from the nail polishes to open it and get the four keys. (Aquarius ♒, Virgo ♍, Aries ♈, Pisces ♓)

To use the photo you took, after zooming in on the key holder, click the "Photo" item in your inventory. Click the photo of the nail polishes, then click the down arrow on the picture.

Oh, goodie, four new keys!

Use the four keys you just got to open some drawers. (Use the yellow book to figure out what opens what.)

Top drawer of desk = small round blue box.

Top right drawer of the low cabinet = red book = make that "Oh, goodie, five new keys!" (♋ = Cancer)

Bottom drawer of the low cabinet = 2x2 button box.

Right drawer of vanity table = cat box.

Left drawer of vanity table = envelope = make that "... five new keys!" (♎ = Libra)

Middle desk drawer = box with two green buttons and some brown stripes.

Two button stripy box

Those stripes look kind ladder-like, don't they? Is there a ladder in the room?

It's not a ladder, strictly speaking, but the shelf next to the dress looks awfully ladder-like. And it has one item per shelf, always on one side or the other. Maybe take a picture?

Right, left, right, right, left, left

Get a roll of... is that tape, maybe? Really ugly washi tape?

Piano

If you look around the room, you'll find two slips of paper hidden in books.

There's a red book on the sofa, and a green book on the desk.

Tape the two pieces together with the roll of tape you found in the two-button box. OK, music time!

In case it's not obvious, play the piano in the order given on the taped-together papers.

For the musically inclined: G, D, C above middle C, B, E, middle C, A, F

If you get it right, it'll quite literally be music time, as the game will start blaring music at you. Use the speaker icon that mercifully appears at the same time to restore your sanity, ahem, sorry, kill the noise.
Oh, and don't forget to get the key from the piano. (♐ = Sagittarius)

Another key

Use the ♐ key to open the left desk drawer. Get the wire cutters.

Round blue box

Use the wire cutters to open the little jar of beads on the desk. Get the rolled-up paper.

It's something about the robot (in the 3x3 curio shelf above the desk), a star, and a heart.

Knock the bottle into the tray (by opening the green book) and note the three beads that roll into the channel at the top. (Don't forget that you can use the camera.)

Large blue bead, medium pink bead, small green bead

Use the bead clue to open the round blue box. (To refer to the clue while you're opening the box, first use "About" on the box, then click "Photo" and select the bead picture, then click the down arrow on the bead picture.)
Colorblind:

Large button: 2 clicks, medium button: 6 clicks, small button: 4 clicks

Get the earrings.

Robot

Now the rolled-up note from the glass jar starts making sense.

Put the earrings on the robot as the note indicates: star on the left, heart on the right.

Notice that the earrings have beads in them: the star has a green bead, and the heart has a yellow bead. Where have you seen green and yellow beads?

Look at the tray on the desk: there's a string of green and yellow beads. (Take a picture.)

Click the ears of the robot in the sequence indicated by the beads. (The sequence is palindromic, so it doesn't matter whether you go right to left or left to right.)
Colorblind:

left left right left right right left right left left

The robot opens to reveal a geometric clue. Don't forget to take a picture of it.

2x2 box

Use the clue from the robot to open the 2x2 box. (As before, use "about item" on the box first, then bring up the picture and move it down.) Get the flower suncatcher.

Cat box

First, find the place to hang the suncatcher.

Click the window next to the desk, then click the chain hanging from the top.

Note the direction the light is shining through the suncatcher.

Look at the side of the desk, where you may have noticed some black and white symbols before. The suncatcher has added some colors to the scene. Take a picture, maybe?

Use the clue to open the cat box.
Colorblind:

First button (blue) = solid 5-pointed star, 2nd button (yellow) = outline 6-pointed star, 3rd button (pink) = solid 6-pointed star, 4th button (green) = outline heart.

Get the screwdriver.

Last key

Use the screwdriver to get the last key.

On the wall to the right of the vanity table, there are three pictures arranged on a diagonal. The bottom one has a clear cover held in place by screws. Remove the cover and get the key. (♌ = Leo)

Use the key to open the remaining drawer, the glass-fronted one on the low cabinet.
Open the hatbox and get the note.
While you're here, did you notice the numbers on the lid? Photo-op, maybe?

Zodiac

Look at the note from the hatbox. Four symbols... where could that be useful?

Remember where you got four keys at once?

Hang the indicated four keys onto the key holder on the wall above the desk. (Libra, Sagittarius, Pisces, Aries)

Note the 3-digit clue. (And by "note", I mean "photo-op".)

Roses

Look at the picture on the wall next to the door. There's a glowy panel below that needs a 3-digit code. How convenient that we just found one, eh?

Use the clue from the key holder.

OK, so now it's a wobbly picture, with blue, yellow, white, and red roses. You already have a picture of some numbers associated with white roses. Time to look for some more.

Yellow

Look at the grouping of three vases on the floor near the door. Examine the base of the vase with the roses.

Blue

Remember where you found the nail polish?

Check the mirrored tray on the low cabinet.

Red

They're more pink than red, but close enough.

Look at the painting to the left of the desk.

Wiggle the picture in the order indicated by the clues.

You can line up all the photos you took next to the picture, but it's not very useful, because when you do that, you only see the numbers, not the color of the roses they go with. So instead, look at the photos one by one and write down the numbers and colors.
Colorblind (or lazy)

BL, TL, BR, TR, BL, TL, TR, BR

Get a box with 3x3 buttons, and note (read: photograph) the letter clues.

3x3 box

If you click the buttons on the box, they cycle through the first 9 letters of the alphabet. Time to look for some letters.

There are two letters where the rose picture used to be.

E goes in the top row and B goes in the bottom row, in the same column, but we don't know *which* column.

You may already have a picture of the two letters on the front of the blue box on the vanity.

G goes in the first column and I goes in the last column, in the same row, but we don't know which row.

There are the three diagonal pictures on the wall next to the vanity table.

Top left = F, center middle = C

The curio shelf above the desk has some letters.

Top right = A, bottom left = D

Look at the three pictures on the wall above the low cabinet.

H goes in the last column.

Combine the clues into a 3x3 arrangement of letters.

F E A
G C I
D B H

Get the cat key from the box.

Endings

Normal end:

Use the cat key on the door and you're out.

Happy New Year end:

Examine the robot. If you point toward the top right of the cube he's in, the robot gets all nervous and sweaty.

Zoom out so you're looking at the entire curio shelf, then click the top right corner of the square with the robot. Get the four-leaf clover.

Now use the cat key on the door.

Warning: the keys disappear after you use the alchemy clue on the piece of paper. Any keys you find after that will be unusable.

I'm not sure it's possible to find the alchemy clue before you've used all 9 keys, though.
