Little Red Riding Hood: A Post Apocalyptic Adventure
Once upon a post-apocalyptic future, there lived a girl named Little Red Riding Hood. One day, her mother told her to take a bucket of supplies to her grandmother, who lived far away in an abandoned submarine. Unfortunately, wolves were said to lurk on the ruined road and... What? Why are you looking at me like that? That is most certainly how the story goes! At least, it is in this clever new spot-the-difference game, where your childhood fairytale takes a detour down to unfamiliar territory.
As the story goes on, you're presented with various scenes and must find the differences between two seemingly identical pictures by clicking on one when you find it. There are five in each scene, so make sure you look closely. Every wrong click detracts from your score, while finishing a scene quickly grants you a bonus based on your time. The whole game is rather short, and veteran difference hunters may not find it much of a challenge, but the whole experience is so utterly weird and charming that it's hard not to like it.
Little Red Riding Hood does a lot of things right. The differences are challenging but not minuscule, and it offers a clever hint system. Your hint meter gradually fills up from small to big, letting you choose whether you want a small visual nudge, or HEY, YOU WITH THE EYES. The art here is absolutely gorgeous, and the setting gives the familiar tale a bit of character. It doesn't really change the story itself or shake up the established formula, but then again, it isn't trying to. If you're looking for an off-beat bedtime story, or just something to fill your coffee break with, Little Red Riding Hood won't disappoint.

Cute little game, I loved the artwork and the quirkiness of the story. Also the music was quite nice. Not difficult, I finished it very quickly. But I don't think it's meant to be much more than a way to kill 15 minutes! Fun little coffee break filler!!

Definitely one of the coolest of its kind. Good music, too. I enjoyed it and would welcome more from these folks.

wow.. this game's graphic is so cool, I love the futuristic atmosphere. Mom's hair, Red's google, a grandma that lives in a submarine?? Wow!
Gorgeous visuals and easy gameplay were great, but what really made it for me was the music. It set just the right tone for a nice 10 minute bedtime story!
I've been thinking about this sort of game and I have an idea. What if when you find a difference in the pictures you can decide which version of the difference to make "official?" For example, in one version of the picture a character has an empty holster, in another the holster contains a gun. You spot the difference and then decide whether the character has an empty holster or a has a gun. This effects how the "story" progresses in the next set of pictures. It wouldn't have to be something as major as a gun. Little differences (whether a window is opened or closed, whether there is a tear in some fabric, whether there are one or two birds in the sky, etc.) can have an impact ala the butterfly effect.
I don't know...it may be totally infeasible but it feels like a natural progression for this type of game.

Steve, that sounds like a really interesting and feasible idea. "Choose your own adventure" combined with "spot the difference"...I hope a developer sees it!

Yeah, this game is artistically very reminiscent of Fallout 3. No bad thing, of course! The mother especially (?) in the beginning looks like a Raider, and the Granny could almost be wearing a vault uniform. The artwork itself is gorgeous.
Steve, that's a brilliant idea, and one I'd love to see someone implement in a game like this.

Best game I've ever played. Simply because of the artwork and the idea. So much better than the original, although I can understand why you'd tell the Brothers Grimm story to a child instead...
