JayHousesSimilar to a tangram, Houses is a short and simple puzzle game that was an entry in our recent game design competition, and it was created by Sean of California, USA.

In keeping with the competition theme, Sean designed Houses to require little in the way of instruction, but there are hints to help you along if needed. The objective is to build 3 houses using all of the pieces given; however, a few rules dictate valid placement for each of the puzzle pieces, and I'll leave them for you to discover on your own. Click the check box on the right side of the game window to have the game verify your solution and to see which pieces are incorrectly placed.

It's a fun little game with multiple solutions. Just right for a lazy rainy afternoon diversion.

Be sure to play Sean's other engaging puzzle games: Clack and Weight.

solved it. the slant edges are tricky

Finally completed it.

Hints: Assemble little pictures first.

A smiley, a triangle and a square, first house on the left doesn't have a picture

Whew, that took a while. The one problem I had...

The shapes of the houses at the bottom right of the game are correct, but the scale wasn't.

Two buildings were one level taller.

Well that was fun! There are definetly many different ways to solve this puzzle.

I hope that the creator expands this game, makes more puzzles in this form, with houses of different shapes.

And yes, the hint in the lower righthand corner's scale is off.

a question:
are the pieces inter-changable?

A nice little puzzle game indeed. :)

Only thing I would've changed was the limited room to place tiles. It gets all crowded and overlapping up there when you try to make the solution area empty...

This was one of my favorites (and still is:)

So use your imagination and build a castle or a factory.

Very impressive, Amor Lassie! =D

Wow I thought Amor Lassie had the market cornered with alternate solutions.. I like the townhouse solution from Raitoo as well.

Haha that's great. It's always amazing to put your stuff out there for people to play with. They always have insights and perspectives on your content that you didn't expect.

Okay folks. Some of you may have noticed that I'm childishly thrilled by Houses. And that's because it is possible to set same kind of challenges like with tangrams. For example you can try to build four separate house. Or build a house where is a big hole in it.

So, those who still hang around, here's a challenge for you: Build a construction where one of the chimneys is under the other building. And here's a hint... Click!

How about a house boat?

First you have to get all the smileys together then all the pairs you think r the same put them together.

A lot of fun, but a little frustrating when you have the image and yet it says it is still not right. I thought the hints were to scale - no problem there. Just did not like the idea that there was only one "correct" solution, but when I finally got it it was great! Thanks for many hours of fun (not on this game, lol....all together)
