GridBlock

ArtbegottiWhen I was a child, I used to play with one of those Labyrinth games where you turned the knobs to tilt a platform and roll a marble around a series of holes. I was always terrible at it, so I used to take a handful of larger marbles and strategically plug certain holes before I made my runs. However, I never would have imagined using catapults to fling the marbles, or blocks of TNT to knock pieces out of place. I'm sure my mom wouldn't have approved of the TNT. In Cat Daddy and 2K Play Games' GridBlock, you've got to use TNT, liquid nitrogen, and teleporters to slide all of the cubes into place. GridBlock is an action puzzler that takes advantage of your device's accelerometer to make a tricky tilting challenge.

GridBlockAt the start of each level, you'll find one or more loose cubes that can be slid around the screen by tilting your device. The goal of each level is to cover each of the target squares on the floor of the grid with a block with the matching color. When a valid block passes over a target, it locks into place, and can only be dislodged by explosions. Blocks are either red, green, or blue, or some combination of these colors, with one color on each side; only the color on the top of the cube is regarded when matching targets. If you want to switch the orientation of the cubes, tap the screen while sliding to make the cubes "flip" and rotate in the direction of the movement. There are also wild blocks that can fit into any colored target, but they must be wielded carefully, as there's often a limited number of ways cubes can be shuffled around to still produce a victory.

In the initial levels, you're only given a handful of cubes and asked to slide them into their proper places, but by collecting tokens, you can unlock more levels that carry new devices to help (or hinder) your progress. Blocks of TNT can dislodge extra blocks and come in handy when you're given only one or two cubes to start, but have to fill eight targets. Frozen blocks can slide with less friction, which is helpful when you need to move one cube away from a pack, but makes it trickier to maneuver that block through obstacles. Be sure to watch out for converters on the floor of the grid that can give your cubes these properties, and be sure to hit them with the right timing, since they sometimes move around!

While it's tricky enough sliding eight cubes at once so that they avoid obstacles, another challenge comes in the form of managing your cube count. Some converters require you to sacrifice a cube (such as the TNT converters and the ghost tokens), so you have to carefully plan where and when you let your blocks hit them. A level will automatically end if you run out of available cubes to slide around, or if you run out of cubes with sides of a certain color, so try to avoid such dilemmas.

Analysis: GridBlock is not a simple game by any means, but it's presented in a way that is accessible to most skill levels. In each nine-level set, in each of which at least one new concept is introduced, you're given one level that serves as your "practice run", then you're immediately thrown into much trickier territory in the subsequent levels. Most levels start by showing you a small hint as to how to proceed with the level, so you're never completely left to fend for yourself. You have plenty of time to finish each level, so slow down and evaluate all of your surroundings before you rush headlong into a trap. Even in the later stages, when several different concepts come into play all at once, you don't feel overwhelmed if you take the time to analyze the level before you start. Unfortunately, there is no colorblind mode for those who have difficulty working with those colors, so the use of a primarily red/green/blue color scheme may render this game unplayable by some.

GridBlockOne flaw in this game that can become irritating rather quickly is that the game has a hard time settling on what constitutes "flat". You may find, as a level starts, that all of the blocks quickly slide to one edge as though you were tipping your device in that direction, even if you weren't. Sometimes, the ideal "level" position is parallel to the ground, sometimes it's tipped up toward you by some degree. There are very few instances where this unpredictable slide can ruin a level right from the start, as it's easy to correct the tilt once you see how the blocks start moving, but it feels like an issue that should have been ironed out before release.

Another quirk, albeit a minor one, is how this game regards the physical nature of cubes. Even though you're playing with loosely-floating blocks, they still remain flat in relation to the edges of the screen (which is good, because otherwise it would be impossible to perfectly aim a cube in a one-cube-wide gap). However, this permanence of orientation seems to disappear when you jump the cubes in some tight areas. A cube might become lodged between a fixed block and a wall (with one edge pointing down), and it takes a bit of jimmying to get the cube out of that spot (I think my technique involved tilting and tapping at the same time). It's not a horrible bug, but in moments where you need to stick to finer movements, it can be a hassle.

These bugs shouldn't overshadow the fact that GridBlock is still a solid game, and a good challenge to boot. Even when a level seems impossible, a bit of thinking will reveal how to beat the level, or possibly even grab the tokens as well. Just take your time, slide with care, and make sure your mother doesn't walk in when you're propelling your marbles across the room with the treadmill.

GridBlock Walkthrough

World 1: Fundamentals

Level 1:

You can end the level quickly by landing all four blocks on the targets at once, but be sure to grab the tokens in the bottom corner.

Level 2:

The red blocks can go straight into the targets. Tap the screen while moving to flip the green blocks until they're red on top, then fill the other targets.

Level 3:

Fill the red targets first with the red blocks, then tap to rotate the green blocks to blue. If you tap early and turn a red block into a green, you will lose the level if it falls into a green target.

Level 4:

Make sure a wild block fills the blue target; beyond that, any combination is allowable. You will have one leftover block when you are done.

Level 5:

Each block has two colors on it, so you need to manage their colors carefully. Try flipping the blocks right off the bat and filling the green targets first. When you're done with that, there should be one block with green left; flip to its other color, and fill a target of that color right away. The two remaining cubes will be red/blue; fill in the last two targets as appropriate.

Level 6:

The green/blue block is the only one that can go into the green target; the rest of the blocks can go wherever you want. To get both tokens, try filling in the five red targets on the left side, then jump a block over the new barrier to grab the first token, then carefully go around the top red target to get the second token.

Level 7:

Simply fill in the targets to move on. Try filling in the red targets first, then jumping the blue blocks over the green and red barriers. If you stick close to the bottom of the level, you can grab both tokens with one blue block.

Level 8:

Fill in the targets to move on. If you fill in the two red targets on the sides first, simply jump over them to grab the tokens.

Challenge:

Challenge 1:

Fill in the targets to move on.

Challenge 2:

Make sure the wild block fills in a green target; the rest of the targets can be filled in at will.

Challenge 3:

The two blue/green blocks must fill in the blue targets. It's easier if you flip the blocks as soon as you start the level so the blue sides are up. Once you have the blue blocks locked in place, use the red/green blocks to fill in the green targets.

Challenge 4:

Use the wild block to fill in the blue target, then fill in the other targets.

Challenge 5:

Focus on the right side first. Guide the wild block through the second alley (the one with out a blue target) so it reaches the red target; in the process, you've probably already filled in most of the blue targets. Next, focus on the left side. Make sure the wild block hugs the right wall, and sneak it past the green target to fill the blue target. Fill in the rest of the targets.

World 2: Boom Town

Level 1:

As the in-game hint suggests, it helps to keep your blocks close together here. You can hit one TNT block without failing the level.

Level 2:

Use a red block to detonate the TNT block and knock the wild block loose. Use the wild block to fill in the green target, and fill the rest of the red targets to finish.

Level 3:

Guide the blocks around the maze, creating a TNT block then detonating it to release new blocks. Make sure that you only use one TNT converter at each junction, or else you'll run out of blocks to finish the level.

Level 4:

Try to get the green block at the bottom to hit the TNT converter when it is between the two locked blue blocks. Use the other green block from the center section to detonate the TNT, and fill in the targets.

Level 5:

Use the two blocks to create a TNT block at the top of the screen and detonate it. Next, slide the three blocks you just unlocked to the bottom right section of the screen, filling in the two blue targets and detonating the TNT block at the top of that section. Take those five blocks you just unlocked and work your way into the top-left section, filling in the green targets and collecting the blue ghost tokens along the way; detonate the TNT at the bottom of that section. Hit the TNT converter at the bottom corner of the screen with the green block you just unlocked, and detonate it with a blue block. You'll notice that the two wild blocks were covering two blue targets; make sure they get covered with the blue blocks, and the wild blocks make it to the red targets.

Level 6:

Next to the opening at the top of the level, you'll see two pairs of TNT converters. Let ONE of your blocks hit one of the converters on the right side, then detonate it with another. In doing so, you should knock the two wild blocks out of the red targets (It's okay if one of the wild blocks runs into another converter as a result of the explosion). Make sure one of the wild blocks fills in the blue target at the top. To fill the remaining red targets, I recommend that you fill the top one first by letting a red/green block pass over the first target as green, then flipping it to red when you're in the clear.

Level 7:

Use your red block to detonate the TNT left and above the locked blue blocks, then use a blue block to detonate the TNT right and above the locked green blocks. Take any blocks you have left through the maze to unlock the remaining blocks, but make sure you send some blocks back out to grab the ghost tokens before you finish the level.

Level 8:

Use one green block to blow up the first two TNT blocks (by lining the green block so it hits both at the same time), then use the other green block to blow up the other two TNT blocks (try not to let the red blocks you just unlocked block your path yet). You can use the new green blocks you just unlocked to convert the ghost tokens, and convert a red block to TNT and blow it up with another red block to unlock the blue blocks at the top and bottom of the level.

Challenge:

Challenge 1:

Use the green blocks to detonate the TNT on the left and right sides of the central square (detonating one TNT will usually knock the other block into the other set of TNT). Use one of the two red/blue blocks you just unlocked to detonate BOTH of the TNT at the bottom of the square. If you're successful, you'll have three red/blue blocks. Use these to unlock the ghost token and fill the targets.

Challenge 2:

Focus on the blue block to start. Navigate it through the TNT converters to the top of the screen, grabbing the token if you dare. Once the blue block is at the top of the screen, you can safely slide both blocks to the left, letting the green block hit the TNT converter (by the locked red blocks) and the blue block detonating it. Fill in the red targets one at a time, keeping the other red blocks trapped in the middle until you are ready to use them.

Challenge 3:

Use the green block near the center to hit the TNT converter as close to the middle of the locked blocks as possible, then use another green block to detonate it. The wild blocks will become loose, and some will go shooting into the blue targets; make sure any remaining wild blocks go into the blue targets and not the green ones from where they were freed. Convert the ghost token and fill in the remaining green targets.

Challenge 4:

Begin by sliding all three blocks to the top-left corner, then flip to their correct sides as you move to the right. Move all the blocks to the top-right corner. Focusing on the left column first, move the green block into the target, then the blue block to its target (grabbing the token first), then finish by putting the red block into its target. If you focus on the blocks in this order, you should naturally hitting the TNT blocks in the sections you're not focusing on.

Challenge 5:

Use the two wild blocks to detonate the TNT blocks at the bottom of the screen, but time it carefully so the green blocks don't hit the moving TNT converters. Hit the moving converters with the green blocks when they are closest to the center of the screen, and you should unlock all five blocks. Use these blocks to convert the ghost token and fill in the targets.

World 3: Chameleon

Note: For brevity, the blocks that change the top color of your block will be referred to as "painters".
Level 1:

Jump one red block at a time over the blue painter, and guide them toward the targets, flipping or repainting with the green painter as necessary. Be careful to not hit the TNT converters. To reach the two tokens, you'll have to move quickly past the moving converters.

Level 2:

Use one of the green blocks to detonate the TNT block at the bottom of the screen. Though you have unlocked all of the wild blocks, make sure you get the other green block into one of the green targets.

Level 3:

Slide the blue block to the TNT block on the left edge to unlock the six blue blocks. Slide one block at a time out of the left valley and move them toward the converters/tokens/targets as you see fit, avoiding the TNT converters as you go. You can "dispense" one block from the left valley by sliding the entire stack upward until only one peaks above the top wall. Slide that block to the right, and while it's in the time lock, slide the rest of the blocks back down to the bottom so you don't have to worry about them coming loose.

Level 4:

Like the hint says, focus on one block at a time. The best way to use the blue painter in the middle is to hit it while moving, so you don't get caught by the moving TNT converters.

Level 5:

Try to get all five green blocks to the top-right corner, paint them all blue, then send them through the maze one at a time. Remember that the red painters won't hurt you (they'll just eat into your time, if anything); it's the TNT blocks that will ruin your run.

Level 6:

Keep the rainbow blocks close together while you move them toward the top of the locked blocks, pausing if one gets caught in a time lock. Try to land a rainbow block on the TNT converter when it hits the spot below the third red block. When you detonate this TNT, you should have enough blocks to fill all targets and collect both ghost tokens.

Level 7:

Don't try to jump over the red and green targets or the TNT converters; instead, just jump over the red and blue painters to reach the top of the screen. Detonate the two TNT blocks up there, then create another TNT block on the right edge and detonate that. From here, you can fill in all of the targets. If you let a block slip into one of the two remaining TNT converters, you'll have to use another block to unlock another pair of blocks to continue.

Level 8:

Of the four moving TNT converters, we need to create TNT with the middle two: one at the top of its path, one at the bottom. You can use the green and red blocks in the middle to create the TNT, then the two blue blocks to detonate them. Once all of these blocks are loose, you can safely collect ghost tokens and fill targets, but be sure to paint two red blocks with the blue painter to fill the blue targets, not the green blocks.

Challenge:

Challenge 1:

Carefully navigate the blue block in the third column up to the TNT converter by the red blocks. Try to keep the blocks in the first two columns trapped in the time locks by pausing when they are released, and moving once they get locked down again. Once the blue block is locked in, Maneuver the green block in the second column to blow up the TNT you just created. From there, you can slide the red blocks to the painters and to the targets. You'll notice that you'll have one block (from the first column) left over; you can use that to remove the TNT block at the bottom center of the level to clear up your path, or save it as a back-up in case something else hits a converter.

Challenge 2:

Start by moving both green blocks to the room in the top middle of the screen. Move one block at a time toward the top-left set of locked blocks, landing on the TNT converter when it's at its highest point, then blowing it up. Use one of the blue blocks you unlock to detonate the TNT at the bottom of the screen. Fill the green target on the left with a wild block (if the blast doesn't throw it there). Use the other wild block to fill the red target at the top of the screen. Convert the red ghost token and fill the red and blue targets at the bottom center of the screen. At this point, you should have two blue blocks left. Use one to hit the TNT converter close to the green blocks at the bottom-right of the screen, and detonate it with the other. Use these two green blocks to fill the last two targets.

Challenge 3:

Carefully slide the blocks to the left, so that the blue blocks hit the left-hand wall of their quadrant, with one block hitting the red painter. Next, slide the red blocks in the bottom-right quadrant so they land in the red targets. Slide the entire cluster of blue (and red) blocks down and to the right to fill the three targets, then move the fourth block out of the way of the TNT. Repeat the procedure with the green blocks, sliding the group to the bottom of their quadrant so one hits the blue painter, then slide them up into the targets. Carefully slide the red targets into place in the lower half of the screen, then paint and bring down a green and blue block to grab the ghost token to finish up the level. To complete the level with the token, you can hit no more than one TNT block; to complete without the token, no more than two TNT blocks.

Challenge 4:

Shuffle the blocks around the top until you are able to get a blue block down to the bottom of the screen, where you will make a TNT block near the CENTER, where the two TNT converters meet. Navigate the second blue block and set up the second TNT block adjacent to the first one. Let ONE of the two red blocks fill in a red target up top, then jump the other red block over the target you just filled in. Use this red block to blow up both of the TNT blocks at the bottom, unlocking the three blue and three green blocks. Slide these blocks back toward the top of the screen, filling targets and grabbing the ghost token, painting the blocks red as needed.

Challenge 5:

Jump your block over the red painters, but don't get caught in the red targets immediately below them. Flip your block back to the blue side, and cross the red targets. Blow up both of the TNT blocks to unlock the lower cluster of red blocks. Fill in the two red target blocks you just passed and create and destroy another TNT block near the cluster on the right side of the screen. Move one block at a time up to the top of the screen where the final targets remain, stopping to pick up paint if necessary. You can use the red block "cage" you just created to hold the extra blocks while you move them one at a time.

World 4: Absolute Zero

Level 1:

Slide the red blocks to the red target and ghost token, the green block to the green target, and the blue block to collect the tokens and to the blue target. If you run into one of the green painters, just flip it to a different side.

Level 2:

Use the two blue blocks to hit both pairs of TNT blocks, knocking all of the locked blocks loose. Use the two wild blocks to fill in a red target and a blue target, and the rest of the blocks can be used to convert the ghost tokens and fill targets.

Level 3:

Man, that first jump is a pain. It takes some practice to get the hang of. Once you make the jump, you'll probably hit the liquid nitrogen patch and slide into the TNT block. If you want to end the level quickly, use the blue blocks to detonate the TNT and knock the three red blocks loose. Feed these blocks down the first tunnel to the targets, and paint one block green to cover the green target. If you want to collect the tokens, you need to get one of the blue blocks to hit the TNT converter exactly between the locked green box and the two locked wild boxes. Use the other blue block to detonate the TNT. Feed the green block you just unlocked to the green ghost token. Use one of the two wild blocks to detonate the TNT at the bottom to free the red blocks. Use one of the red blocks to unlock the red ghost token. Use the other two red blocks to fill in the targets, and make sure the other wild token goes in the green target.

Level 4:

Using the time locks to hold the red and green blocks back, move the blue block into the central area. Grab both of the tokens, if you want. Slide the blue block up the alley with the green targets, then down the alley with the red targets(make sure the red and green blocks are still caught in their starting positions with the time locks). Guide the blue block to the TNT converter in the top-right corner of the map. Next, move the red block out of the starting position up to the TNT block you just created (going down the blue alley). Once you have the five blocks unlocked, you're free to fill in the targets.

Level 5:

Slide the wild block to detonate the TNT block in the bottom-right corner of the screen, avoiding the moving targets along the way. Use one of the two green blocks to hit one of the top row of TNT converters to the left; use the other green block to detonate it, releasing the five locked blocks. You can now fill the moving targets. If you decide to go for the ghost tokens, be sure you don't hit the TNT converters, or you may not have enough blocks left to finish the level.

Level 6:

Start by sliding both wild blocks down the chute to the waiting TNT converter at the bottom of the screen; detonating this will unlock the two wild blocks at the bottom. Use one of these wild blocks to detonate the already-made TNT block at the bottom-right corner of the screen. Use the other wild block on the TNT converter on the left side of the screen, and use one of the red/green blocks you just unlocked to detonate it. At this point, you should have two red/green blocks and four red/blue blocks. Use one of the red/blue blocks to detonate the top-right TNT block, then one of the blue blocks you just unlocked to blow up the other TNT block. The rest of the blocks can now be used to convert ghost tokens and fill in targets.

Level 7:

Slide the frozen blue/green to the top of the S to get it out of the way. Slide the red block through the path at the top of the screen to detonate the TNT block at the top-right corner of the screen. Use the two red blocks you just unlocked to create and detonate a TNT block on the left side of the screen, then use two of the red blocks you unlocked to do the same on the right side. Collect the ghost tokens and fill in the targets.

Level 8:

If you're careful, you can jump one of your frozen red blocks over the TNT converters that block off the top of the screen. Use a red block to blow up both TNT boxes at the top of the screen. Use two of the blue/green boxes you just unlocked to create and detonate one of the TNT converters that you jumped over before. Use one of the two blue boxes available at the beginning of the level to create a TNT box near the red locked boxes at the bottom of the screen, and use the other frozen red box to detonate it. Using the path that you created, collect the ghost tokens and fill in the targets.

Challenge:

Challenge 1:

Tilt your device hard to the right to get all of the blocks out from between the TNT converters. Keeping the blocks in a cluster, slide the blocks around the outside of the level, converting the ghost token and filling the targets as you go.

Challenge 2:

Slide two wild blocks so they hit the TNT converters as close to the middle as possible, then detonate them with the other two wild blocks. Fill in the targets.

Challenge 3:

Slide one red block through the chute (make sure you don't hit the TNT converter after you hit the liquid nitrogen square), then up and to the left to get painted blue, and fill in the blue target. Repeat with the other red block, moving to the right to get painted green.

Challenge 4:

Carefully slide one blue/green block to hit the central TNT block, knocking the four red blocks loose. It's easier to fill the red targets if you cluster them together before approaching the center. If you want to grab the token, convert it first with one blue/green block and collect it with the other to avoid complicating things later.

Challenge 5:

Slide the frozen red block through the maze and blow up the pair of TNT blocks at the bottom of the screen. Use two of the red blocks you just created to create and detonate a TNT block near the locked cluster of red blocks on the left side of the screen. Use a blue block to detonate the TNT block in the top-right corner of the screen. Convert the ghost token and fill in the targets.

World 5: Repulse

Level 1:

Jump to change your color to one that doesn't match the color of the repel blocks as you pass through each section.

Level 2:

Ignore the green blocks for now, but make sure that while you're jumping, they don't slide out past the repel block. Slide the red block in the middle to the right side and detonate the TNT block to knock loose the two blue blocks. Jump the two blue blocks over the red painter (it's okay if they get painted a bit). Flip them back to blue, and slide them below the red repel block. Flip both blocks to red, and use one to convert the ghost token. Slide your other red block past the blue repel block and detonate the TNT in the bottom-left corner, releasing two red blocks. Use the two red blocks to detonate the TNT immediately above you and the TNT block surrounded by the six blue blocks. Use three of the blue blocks to destroy the remaining TNT blocks on the screen. Use another blue block to convert the ghost token in the corner. Paint the last two blue blocks red, then fill the two red targets at the top. Now, you can finally flip the green blocks and move them out of their starting position, and fill in the two green targets.

Level 3:

Move the blue/green block along the maze, flipping to avoid matching the targets along the way. When you enter one teleporter, come back through it to put yourself on the correct path again. Detonate the TNT block in the middle, and move the three blocks back through the maze, filling the targets along the way.

Level 4:

Move both blocks to the top to convert and detonate a TNT block. To do this, paint both blocks blue and move them past the repel blocks. Flip them to a non-blue side, and move them past the blue repel blocks and the targets (the blocks will cross paths). Once you detonate the TNT block, you can fill in the targets, but be careful you don't fill them in too quickly if you want to grab the ghost tokens at the bottom.

Level 5:

Slide the red block through the purple teleporter and paint your block green. Slide back through the teleporter (it helps if you time your slide so you come out of the teleporter while it is lined up with the aisle out) and detonate the TNT block next to the two blue blocks. Take both of these blue blocks through the purple teleporter and paint them green, and bring them back through the teleporter again. Slide both blocks through the blue teleporter, and convert and detonate a TNT block in the bottom-right corner of the screen. From here, you can use the blue and green blocks to fill in the targets and collect the ghost tokens. Be sure that you spend your tokens wisely to detonate the TNT blocks along the way.

More coming soon!

World 6: Shatter

Level 1:

Glass blocks can hit other objects, but they will begin to shatter if you hit with too much force. If they're hit hrad three times, they will disappear. If you've reached this stage of the game, it shouldn't be too hard to navigate the maze without losing the red glass block as you pick up the tokens and fill the target.

Level 2:

Slide the green glass block through the top alley to detonate the TNT block at the middle-top of the screen. Use the red/green block you just unlocked to detonate the TNT block at the top-right of the screen. Use a red/blue block to detonate the TNT block at the bottom of the screen. If it hasn't fallen into a target yet, slide the red glass block into a target, then convert the ghost tokens and fill in the rest of the targets. To make sure you don't run out of colored blocks, fill in the blue targets first, then green, then red.

Level 3:

Let both blocks hit the first springboard, one at a time (try to keep them together when they land). Hit the second springboard when it is closest to the bottom, to avoid the TNT converters. Both blocks are probably blue right now; jump both to a different color to pass the blue repel block. Grab the tokens and fill in the targets.

Level 4:

To pass this level, you need to approach the first, third, and fourth springboard with some color other than the one at the nearby repel blocks facing you, as that is the color that will turn up when you make the flip. So, have green, green, then blue facing you when you hit the springboards. Most of the teleporters act as "go back to the start" penalties, so avoid them until after the fourth springboard, where you can collect the tokens.

Level 5:

Slide one of the two glass blocks into the springboard to the left so it jumps over the TNT block; Use this block to detonate the TNT block in the lower-left corner. Use the other glass block to convert one of the ghost tokens (it's easier if you move it across while the other block is being launched by the springboard). Use one of the two red/blue blocks you unlocked to blow up the top-right TNT block to unlock the other two red/blue blocks. Paint one of these blocks green, then throw the blocks back inside the rectangle one at a time using the springboard below the rectangle. From there, convert/collect both ghost tokens and fill in the targets.

Level 6:

Follow your way through the maze, and try not to get converted to ice. To reach the central token, enter through the moving purple teleporter from the top.

Level 7:

Fling two of the glass blocks to the bottom of the screen with the springboard, then create and detonate a TNT block on the right side of the screen. Fill in the two bottom blue targets, and slide the other two blue/green blocks out of the box they're in to convert the two ghost tokens. Carefully time your red glass block's slide into the box to avoid the springboards and fill the target to complete the level.

Level 8:

Move one block at a time into the middle to reach the red painter, then back out to a target. Avoid the springboards and TNT converters at all costs.

Challenge:

Challenge 1:

Slide into the first TNT block and let the chain reaction of springboards happen until you have two blue blocks and a green block. The two blue blocks can take the teleporters to the targets. Use the green block to detonate the TNT block that unlocks two red blocks. Use one to convert the ghost token, and the other to fill the target.

More coming soon!

World 7: Shock Therapy

Level 1:

Note here how the lime shock block moves slower than the purple shock block, and the TNT block will always appear where the purple block is. You can finish the level quickly by merging the blocks next to the locked red block and detonate them with the green block, or gather the bonuses by detonating the shock blocks in the lower-left corner.

Level 2:

Start by moving the lime shock blocks next to the red and green block clusters. Slide the purple shock blocks to merge them, then use the blue blocks to detonate them. Use the red and green blocks to convert the ghost tokens and fill the targets.

Level 3:

To finish the level quickly, flip the red/green blocks so they are red-side-up, then touch the green lightning marker with the green/blue block. Slide the red/green blocks around the red lightning blocks to the targets. To grab the tokens, flip the blocks so the red or blue sides are up. Slide the blue block to the bottom right of the green markers, then jump the barrier so it goes straight down into the two TNT blocks, releasing the two blue blocks for converting the ghost tokens. Carefully jump the two red blocks over the barrier in the same way, then collect the tokens and fill the targets.

World 8: Countdown

Level 1:

Slide the red blocks through the maze one at a time, avoiding the time bomb blocks as much as possible, but detonating the one that blocks the green painter.

Level 2:

Slide all of the blocks to the left wall. Slide the top pair of blocks (red/blue and green/blue) to the right to fill in two of the targets. Convert and collect the ghost tokens. Move the two remaining blocks to the right side and slide one (or both) into the middle to fill the last target. Remember that you have a couple seconds of grace before the time bomb turns into a TNT block, so feel free to move a bit more quickly at the end of the level.

Level 3:

Slide one of the green-topped blocks so it hits the springboard when it is all the way to the left, so it flips to blue-side-up and lands on the blue lightning markers. Use the other green marker to grab the tokens. Flip this block so the green is facing you, then hit the springboard when it is all the way to the right to land on the green lightning markers. Move the two red blocks at the top in to the targets.

Level 4:

Flip so you are green when you pass the red target at the top of the screen, then red when you pass the green target in the middle. Enter the orange teleporter from the bottom to avoid the TNT converters. Enter the first blue teleporter from the left, then enter the other from the bottom to move through the next corridor. Enter the purple teleporter from the bottom. Enter the yellow teleporter and detonate the TNT block. Fill the red target with a red block, and convert and collect the green ghost token. Take a green block back through the yellow teleporter to convert the other green ghost token, and use another block to collect it. To fill the final green target, wait until the stickiness has worn off before you jump over the red target you already filled.

Level 5:

Coming soon!

Level 6:

Cluster the two blocks in the top-right corner of the starting area. Carefully slide the cluster of blocks through the diagonal time bombs; try not to activate any of the time bombs, but if you have to to get through, try hitting only the top ones. Slide both blocks into the purple teleporter from the top, then through the blue teleporter to paint them red. Slide them back through the blue teleporter, then through orange teleporter, making sure to not hit the yellow teleporter. When you have both blocks in the top-right corner of the screen, carefully line one up with the moving yellow teleporter, and tilt downward toward it, so the block comes out at the bottom of the screen, ideally not triggering any of the time bombs. Fill the red target with this block. Paint the other block blue, then repeat the process of moving through the yellow teleporter and fill the blue target.

Level 7:

Slide the two wild blocks through the maze, avoiding the targets. Create and detonate a TNT block near the locked green blocks. Convert and collect the green ghost tokens, and fill the red and blue targets with the glass blocks.

More coming soon!

World 9: Viral

Level 1:

In these levels, the goal is not to fill in targets, but clean up the virus squares. Pick up both tokens with the green block, then slide the red block through the chute to clean up the virus squares.

Level 2:

Clean up the bottom-right virus squares with the bottom-left red block. From here, you can use the red blocks locked in place to hold back the green blocks, making the rest of the clean-up easier.

Level 3:

Let the green blocks convert the ghost tokens, and collect them with a red block. Use a red block to clean up the virus near the (now-converted) green/red block to release it, then use the red and red/green blocks to clean up the rest of the virus.

Level 4:

Convert and collect both ghost tokens, then clean up the virus by placing the red blocks at the middle of the diagonals of virus blocks.

Level 5:

Slide all of the blocks to the right, and flip the blue/green blocks to blue-side-up. Convert and collect the ghost tokens, making sure nothing touches virus or TNT yet. Move the remaining blocks to the lower-left corners of their sections, making sure the two red blocks are vertically aligned. Slide the first red block into the middle of the bottom virus patch. Carefully move the second red block around the first red block and clean up the remaining virus. If you're having trouble moving around the first block without hitting the TNT, try using one of your leftover blue/green blocks to detonate the TNT (note that this will knock the first red block loose and the virus will be exposed in the square).

More coming soon!
