Yonashi's Gocha Gocha Room escape game is the very definition of cute and cozy, plunking you in a room with whimsical toys and puzzles, including a caterpillar, a chicken, donuts, coffee, a cat, and much, much more. Click around to interact with things when the cursor changes, and if a transparent bar appears when you mouse over the edges of the screen (don't forget the top!), you can click it to navigate to somewhere else. Click the magnifying glass next to an item in your inventory to scope it out up close, or click the item itself to ready it for use. Remember to. Search. Everywhere. You never know where another view or item might be hiding!
Gocha Gocha Room is more complicated than some of Yonashi's more recent games, such as Yonashi Escape 12 and Ice Room, which, as it turns out, is both good and bad. Getting a more fleshed out experience from Yonashi is always welcome, and the variety of things to see and find, as well as puzzles to encounter, makes Gocha Gocha Room feel like an escape packed with surprises and detail. The downside is it's very easy to miss new locations or viewpoints with area transitions tucked in unexpected spots, and a few of the puzzles come across as unintuitive, unless you're the sort of person who's inclined to click repeatedly on things for no good reason. Quirky is definitely the game's middle name, however, and for fans of being locked up, you can do far worse than this cheery, silly, and creative escape game.
Out with 2 different endings. Are there any more?
i'm kinda stuck with having a mouse only in my inv. can't figure out what to do with it
Im a little lost.
I have 3 or 4 codes. I see the cat but dont have his toy. What am I missing?
Ashiel:
Have you tried looking up?
on one of the screens you can
look up
Where did you find the item?
Stuck in so many ways...
I have the clues from the computer, but cant think of how to apply them. Cant find the hammer for the wooden toy. have a mouse that I don't know what to do with. Got a key from the sugar bowl, but i think i got it by random clicking.
Used the bowling ball, used the caterpillar on the lettuce so I have a 1 in a blue triangle and a 4 in a green circle, but dont know what to do with them.
any suggestions?
The suggestion to
look up
was helpful and as a result I got out. However I never did figure out the purpose of the
letter clues on the computer
and it didn't stop me from proceeding.
Regarding the letter clues:
Do you use a standard QWERTY keyboard? The laptop does; you can look at it.
The letter clues:
Look down.
No? Alright, I'll tell you.
The first memo refers to 3 keys on your keyboard and the key you get if you go one right from there. For instance, H is right of G, T of R and so on. That's the clue for memo 2.
Find those keys on your keyboard (or the keyboard in the game), and write down the key to right of them. Or with the S, as the left arrow above it indicates, write down the key left of it. And that spells out Sugar. And as the memo says 10 clicks, you then click the Sugar jar 10 times, and voila, a key.
I got out too.... but did have to 'wing'a couple of things, like:
the sugarpot. I just went full klick attack on it :P. the number for the square block... still don't get where I had to get that number.
If anyone know sthe location to the thing in the last part of the spoiler, feel free to say :P
Rubenske:
When you're up in the attic, look over the railing on the left. Tada! Right there on the rectangular carpet.
Okay,
I was able to force my way out for the cake ending and returned to get the dinner ending. However, I have no idea what knocking over the bowling pins accomplished, no idea what the hen clue is for, and never figured out the egg puzzle. I found the circle and square numbers, but not the triangle one. That was a force solve on my part.
Oh, and
I never opened the safe in the wall needing a green key.
POP!
Yeah it's amazing how each one of your questions answered another, Shjack. :)
A bit disappointed. This game could've had many more puzzles, like a quoits stacker, or those shapes in the pictures, or something involving more animals or jars of stuff. The star puzzle could've been so much harder! And a creative stand-out, befitting its place in a walkthrough. The most challenging code's a substitution that doesn't even work cleanly without an insert. I will give 'em the food items but those didn't lead to anything nearly as delightful. Even a few clicktoys could've spruced it up. Although Robamimi's Kids Room puzzles have been sanitized some from the original, play that instead. https://jayisgames.com/archives/2009/03/kids_room.php Much better sampler of what you can do with different room perspectives and ordering puzzles, instead of mash till you find it, and without much of a payoff.
Oh and even I can tell this needs major color-blind direction. While I'm complaining,
why is the cake the lesser ending? The cake
is winning. It is always winning.
Okay, I got two endings, but I still don't know:
1) What the bowling pins are for.
2) What the numbers on the hen are for.
3) What to do with the eggs.
4) How to open the green-keyhole safe.
5) Where the triangle number was.
6) For that matter, why you could keep clicking on the panda when other puzzles' clues went away after you solved the puzzles. The same goes for the coffee, sugar, and hot pepper scene, the mean-dude ring puzzle, as well as the computer and the drawers. Also maybe the cat's tail, though that looked like it was just meant to be cute.
So ... pretty much like other people. And thanks for the hint from peter and Craig.
@Shudog All I could think of after reading your rant was
But the cake is a lie :p
@tulia
The numbers on the hen are a clue for the egg puzzle.
The position of the numbers represents the lined up eggs and the order in which you are supposed to click them.
So "1" means click on the third egg, "2" the second egg, "3" the fifth egg, and so on...
Here's how I drew it out in my head:
0 0 0 0 0
5 2 1 4 3
- - 6 7 -
After you solve that puzzle, you should be able to figure out the rest. Except for the things you listed last. Most of that are nonsensical things the creator probably added to thwart or frustrate us xp
Ah, I didn't think to do it that way. Thanks, I'll go try it all (again) now. Thanks, shjack180.
I like this one, and I'm usually pretty critical. In particular, I liked how at the end you could just "return to game", instead of having to remember to save first, then restart, then load the saved game.
walkthrough,please :)
Ok, I have the bowling ball and I see the
bowling pins in the blue triangle
but I have no idea what to do with it!
@jae113 - Have you
opened the door with the B on it yet? Seems like that would lead to the same place...
ok. no hurry but i'd still love a walkthrough.

Examine the triangles, what triangles, you do not mention triangles at any other point in the walkthrough.
Are the
eggs and the chicken red herrings?
Bowling ball
The pins knocked down are supposed to signify a 1 on the blue triangle, not that it is easy to see.
The triangles are in fact mentioned in the section about the upstairs scene:
"Use the star key on the box. Take the triangles, squares and circles.
Click the lettuce and see a circle with the number 4 on it."
