Gene Sequencer

Here's a Flash game about gene sequencing from the UK which is surprisingly fun to play. The controls took me a couple of games to get used to, then I caught on to it quickly. It's all about constructing genes by piecing amino acids together in the proper sequence. A very odd premise on which to build a game, but it works quite well actually. Be sure to press the [M] key to mute the music, as it gets a bit repetitious.

Hi Jay, glad you like my game. (Yes the music is a little repetitious). The sequel is under construction, I'll let you know when it's finished. There's more of my stuff at snappyfingers.co.uk

Cheers.

Funny Stu you forgot to mention the other people who worked on the project with you (http://www.derby.ac.uk/press-office/news/local-students-score-at-games-festival), I like the way you have changed the Logo from The System 04 to Snappy fingers 04, you could have been at least a little more creative by dropping in your own logo in rather than just changing the name.

Fair enough if the concept was yours but it was somebody else's idea, who also supplied a working concept which you then assisted in the programming side of the project.

They're not amino acids, they're nucleotides.

I wish I could play your game, seems really interesting. Unfortunately, whenever I click on the link provided, it just says the "This page cannot be found" page.

Sorry, but I want to play a game that's both cool and actually exists.

The steering is absolutely illogical and I still haven't figured out how to do it. You should make it a bit easier or just simply easier to understand why the launcher is doing what it's doing.

Hey, just to make clear, this game was a collaboration with 2 mates from Derby Uni, which won the 2004 ScreenPlay festival competition. Links to all the contributors sites can be found on the credits page. Originally the game was branded under the name "System 4", but this was later dropped. Artwork and initial concept by Aaron Fecowycz, Development and Programming Stuart Bray, Sound Effects David Burnham.
