Find the Candy: Winter

DoraVladimir Jamajkaman Makarov, Zakhar Gadzhiev, and Ressa Schwarzwald seal their reputations as purveyors of the sweet with the point-and-click puzzle game Find the Candy: Winter, a frosty themed sequel to the original Find the Candy game. Each stage has three hidden stars, and one delectable hidden treat, and to find them you need to click to interact with the environment, or sometimes even click and drag to manipulate things, such as pulling windows open. Though things start out simple, as the levels get more elaborate with sneaky locks and mechanisms to experiment with, things slowly become more challenging... uh... sort of.

The problem with Find the Candy: Winter, in as much as a game so sweet and casually fun can have a problem, is that on the whole, the difficulty is fairly low. For players who want a challenge to engage their glorious grey matter, this makes it perhaps too easy and over in a flash, since the level design, colourful as it is, tends to remain uncluttered enough that the solutions become apparent at a glance. At twenty levels, however, Find the Candy: Winter does wind up gaining a bit of traction halfway through with its puzzle design, becoming more elaborate while maintaining its bright charm and creativity that will have attracted fans in the first place. It may not be Christmas anymore, but the all-ages gameplay and vibrant aesthetic makes Find the Candy: Winter enjoyable whether you're sipping eggnog or iced tea.

The game can think you're "stuck" even if you're not (like, if you're clicking all over to find that third star), and only gives you an option to restart. There should be a "Nah, I'm good" option.

Ha! I actually got that "It appears you're stuck" message after I solved the level! With the victory popup and everything!

Knowing those shelves could be moved might have been nice seeing as you never did anything even vaguely like that in the rest of the game. And fix those crappy, impossible to position plugs too?

I seem to be stuck on level 19.

I can get the ball to take the scary square away. Then the hedgehog walks over and sits under the candy. And after that I have no clue.

Leopardmask, for level 13:

Click and drag the snail shell to move it to the right side of the stairs. Then click the radio, and the hedgehog will go into the shell. Click the radio again, and it gives you the candy.
