When was the last you had a dream? Not the Deep Sleep kind of one, but a real dream, a life goal, something that you wanted to achieve. The hero of this short platform game has dreams, and rather big ones. And so begins his quest to try and achieve his dreams. Will he manage to do so?
The game is rather short, and should fit in your 15 min break. It has almost no plot, except from a short text at its beginning and at its end, but it serves the game's concept well. You can roam almost freely in your dream world while trying to achieve your dreams, while the game gives you subtle directions to the next milestone in your quest. By that, a relaxing, dreamy atmosphere is created, which matches the game's concept perfectly. The simple, but rather unusual, gameplay, also contributes to the whole experience.
The graphics are hand-drawn and are both simple and beautiful. The same is for the calming soundtrack, which was written for this game, and can be bought at the creator's Bandcamp page.
I was a little frustrated by the pacing of the game, at first, but by the time I finally reached the end, the messages presented explained everything and its really quite intelligent and clever. A great concept for a game. My only big frustration is sometimes your dream clouds don't hold you like they're supposed to. I would jump to the next little block of the cloud and fall right through it, and it wasn't even all that transparent yet!
Great music, great atmosphere, simple yet beautiful visuals, simple concept but it works with the theme presented at the end. 4 Stars all around.
Well, I roamed and roamed. I caught the star twice, and didn't see it again. I went up a few white "ladders" that appeared and disappeared, but once they didn't lead anywhere useful.
Giving up ... dreams unfulfilled, I guess.
Oh dear. I fell through the first white 'clouds' which I was supposed to be able to follow up. Hence, I got nowhere. However, watched the walkthrough and the game looked quite clever.
