Dr3i v3
Volker of Mach Parat sends word that a new version of his now classic mouseplay game is available, Dr3i Version 3, and it contains a surprising new addition to the gameplay.
Arguably one of the best (if not the best) Flash game series of its kind, Dr3i is more than just a game of avoidance. As before, collecting small positive and negative signs speeds up and slows down the rotation of the obstacles that you must make your way past. However, this 3rd version in the series introduces an animated "beast", an engaging cloud of black smoke that follows you in pursuit.
The beast is also affected by the positive and negative signs. Positive signs will make the beast grow larger and faster, negative signs will reduce the size of the beast and make it move slower. A smaller and slower beast is essential if you wish to finish this game.
Try also the other games of this series: Dr3i, and Dr3i Version 2.
Love the music .... does it have a name?
Sweet game, great music!
Make sure you collect all the + and -'s and hit the black and red circles for maximum points...
a beast that is black smoke... remind you of any hit tvshow? :)
Wow, high score. That's a first.
Great site, Jay. Been my home page for about a year now!
@gtox
the numbers...
Yay 63! Nice score jay :D
Slick game :)
i wish the screen went faster. its hard when the stupid beast can go through all obstacles like nothing and swoosh to u and u have to wait for the screen to move.
first try: 85 points (5th place)
second time: 86 points (shared 1st place)
use rightclick to make yourself immune and/or transport to anywhere on the map you want
This same trick could be used in the previous versions aswell.
if you carefully move the mouse out of the left side of the screen, the dot becomes invulnarable.
86 points - shared 1st place (rank 4) - just knocked you off the top ten, sorry, Jay ... ;)
Ah, another Dr3i game. :)
The beast is a nice addition, although I found the scrolling speed to be a bit slow and the -'s a bit easy to collect, which made this one too easy for my taste. A few more levels would also have been great, but let's not get negative here. It's a fun game, that leaves you wanting more. :)
Fun game... If you push the red dot against the right side of the screen, it becomes immune to all but the beast.
Hey jay, do you have a timeline on when the tags for the games will start working? Thanks ;)
likephilshead - I'm trying to get things done on the backend of the site as quickly as I can. I hope to have tags fully implemented before the end of the year.
Feel free to use the tags any time you wish in the meantime, however. If the tags themselves are not active hyperlinks—temporary issues with performance has forced me to deactivate some of them until a database upgrade can be completed—you can always access any tag by manually entering it directly in the address bar of your browser like this... https://jayisgames.com/tag/whatever
Keep in mind that the more entries that match a given tag, the longer it will take to compile the results. Yes, it is currently taking way too long for some tag queries (such as "flash" or "game"). I am presently looking at ways to optimize the performance to within acceptable parameters.
47pts, should be shared 50th.. (with no cheating i might add)
i found the game the easist on your first run, as there are more + and - to collect. Fun game.
I really like this series, but I feel the addition of the beast didn't quite work in this version. It's possible, if you play cleverly, to get to the end of the level on the first run, but, unless I'm missing something, if you get a long way through the level and pick up a lot of the items and then hit something, your second run-through is next to impossible, because the slow scrolling speed makes it inevitable that the beast will corner you, since you have no way to slow him down.
Still, if you're good enough, you won't notice this, and then it's a very, very good game. :)
I agree with you, Mortice, in the perspective that additional lives are the real problem here.
Since the game can easily be completed in one run, that should be the goal. As you mentioned, the absense of power-ups makes the gameplay unbalanced for subsequent runs, and this should be avoided.
Yeah - in fact, I found the extra lives useless enough (specially since high score is based on time!) that I just restarted the game if I died halfway through a run...
Clearly, the highest possible score is an 86, and that IS possible without cheating.
Check them scoreboards for a treat!
Just to add, my Dr3i v2 score still stands as well. It could be possible to break my current v3 score, but it'll be a challenge.
Geez, that KOTOKO fella almost stole the top spot from me. Thankfully I bumped my score.
