Doodle God Blitz

[Note: Please be aware that this game contains optional purchases for real cash, as well as intermittent, random ads. Both of these benefit the developer, and JayisGames takes no profit from either element.]

Also free for iOS and Android, Doodle God Blitz is a browser port of JoyBits' newest free-to-play spin on the classic Doodle God game formula, and a flashier (and timer-y-er) version of their Doodle God 2 online game. The premise is still the same... as the preeminent doodle deity, your job in this puzzle game is to create things by combining elements. Fire and Earth make lava, for instance, but how do you suppose one goes about making Ice Cream? Warriors? Fireworks? See, whenever you make a new "element", it gets added to the pool to be combined with others, and there are tons to unlock and use. Unlike the original Doodle God, however, Doodle God Blitz uses several different currencies and timers... while you can play it without paying a cent, especially if you complete the quests to gain more energy (in which case our Doodle God walkthrough may help!), it means a lot of waiting around. Every successful match you make costs you one point of energy, which regenerates at a slow pace, or you can use the Mana you earn to purchase more immediately (as well as hints) if you don't want to spend real cash. None of this is news to you if you've checked out the mobile versions, which this is identical to, but it's a little jarring to see it in your browser, and the ads can be frustratingly interruptive, so caveat emptor. Doodle God Blitz is still a gorgeous game with a great premise, and watching the world get filled in as you play is a lovely touch, so if you've been craving more of that doodlin', it's worth a look.

I loved Doodle God and Doodle Devil. They were clever and fun. Doodle God Blitz promises all the fun of the original games, plus a miniature world that brings your elements to life visually. However, the constant ads and pressure to buy to avoid the ads/be able to continue creating really takes away from the appeal...

I was pretty jazzed that a new Doodle God game was out, right up until I discovered it too had fallen prey to the scourge of wait gaming. That sure was disappointing, and I won't be playing it further.

seeing the elements show up in the world was exciting, but i have to agree with the above comment that waiting to make new elements was disappointing

They only disabled the energy system, though...

i really loved doodle god 1+2 and doodle devil! not only the idea was great, but the "doodle" interface style, like hand drawn, was excellent, interesting and innovative. also the quiet game tempo, where you could just play at your own rhythm and discover, was cool. i liked the proverbs/quotations too.
now just from the screencap i see above, the beautiful and typical interface is gone, instead it seems it looks like any of the millions of games already out there, pseudo 3d, energy bars, bling etc... boring! -50% points! and i read in the comments it's more a cross between intempestive commercial ad-trap and somehow unnerving idle than anything else... get outta my face! -50% points!
i had been waiting so impatiently for a sequel, and i was really disappointed when doodle farm was never made available for browsers (right?). i'd take extra 10% off but there's nothing left.
in short: imo, they blew it. i definitely will never even peek at this. besides, when you want to sell something, do it, don't fake "free" spicked with adware. not even mentioning the permissions needed for the mobile products ~ :/

Combining thing one and thing two to make thing A? It just didn't make sense to me. I surely must have missed something here.

actually, i'd like to amend that it's okay. i found myself going back to play it, and there are other things to do when energy runs out and at least it makes me go do something else if i do run out.

that being said, i can't find the 142nd element to complete the second section. it's the last in the "animal products" section.

i have:

-wool
-flour
-meat
-dough
-milk
-bread
-wheat
-beer
-feather

@Krizpy The last element is

cigarettes which are

tobacco + paper

This is just... disappointing. It would be one thing if they were releasing actual new content, but instead they are releasing the same content (no new elements, quests, puzzles, etc from their last 'free' version) but adding additional freemium mechanics. I'm especially incensed because I originally bought this game on my iPhone, and now I have to deal with all of these mechanics anyways. For shame.

Nice, I loved the original and this is fun and creative
