One of the great things about escape-the-room games is how stylistically versatile they can be considering the basic lock-you-up premise. There are some that are scary, others that are remarkably beautiful, and those that are trickily clever. Chick Hide and Seek 6 by Yuri falls into the Oh So Easy! Aw So Cute! category of escape games. Which is why it's so worthwhile: I dare you to play this game of hide and seek with ten chirpy balls of yellow fuzz and not crack a smile.
Use the yellow arrows to navigate and click to interact with objects, searching for all ten chicks: some chicks are hiding in plain sight, others need to be uncovered, and some need to be helped out of sticky situations. You'll also find a few simple puzzles and will need to use items creatively to reach certain chicks. After gathering your brood of tiny peeps together, it's a breeze to solve the door lock code and get out.
Chicks are tiny and it's their world, so the game is tiny, too. The smallness of the screen lends to eyestrain, but the design is clean and details are clear enough that there's no mistaking one object for another, even without a cursor change. Simple and sweet, Chick Hide and Seek 6 takes just a tiny portion of your day to play but leaves you with a large portion of cuteness to fill it with cheer.

Walkthrough Guide

Chick Hide and Seek 6 Walkthrough
Chick 1:
Look in the bowl of apples.
Chick 2 and 3:
Study the colors of the flowers (from left to right: red, yellow, blue, yellow, blue, white).
Turn around to face the wall with five colored cupboard doors.
Click the doors in this order: top left, bottom left, bottom right, bottom left, bottom right, top right.
Get chick #2 from behind the white door.
The click you heard? The green door is unlocked, too...open the middle door to get...
chick #3 and a pair of SHEERS.
Chick 4:
Get the sheers by solving the colored door puzzle (solution in the preceeding spoiler).
Turn left to face the window. Click the window to open it.
Use the SHEERS to cut chick #4 free.
Chick 5:
Use the SHEERS to cut the ROPE that's hanging outside the window.
Turn left and pick up the basket that the apples were in.
Tie the ROPE to the BASKET.
Turn left and look down the hole. Use the ROPE-TIED BASKET to pull chick #5 out of the hole.
Chick 6:
Take out both umbrellas then turn over the "empty" umbrella stand and chick #6 will come out of it.
Chick 7:
Turn around to face the window again. Look under the cushion of the chair on the right.
Chick 8:
While you were getting chick #7 from under the chair cushion, did you see the clue on the wall above the chair?
Back up and examine the safe under the window.
Copy the pattern from the clue by clicking the buttons in that order...
Number the buttons as if on the numpad of the keyboard:
5-2-1-4-7-8-9-6-3
Then click the red rectangle to unlock the safe.
Back up, open the safe and get a KEY and chick #8.
Chick 9:
Get the KEY from inside the safe, turn and face the door.
Use the KEY to unlock the glass cube, open it up and get chick #9.
Chick 10:
Get the NINJA STAR from under the right chair cushion (click it again after lifting it up to look under it).
Give the NINJA STAR to the ninja chick in the corner by the door.
Exit Code:
After gathering all ten chicks, turn around to see them lined up by the wall with the five colored cupboards.Note where each is standing, starting with the top ending with the row closest to you.
Turn back around and examine the panel by the door.
You need to push the three buttons in the correct order. Use the clue from the chicks...
Numbering the buttons from left to right...
1-2-2-3-2-1-1-1-2-2
then press the red rectangle and you'll hear a click as the door unlocks.
Back up, open the door, and escape!
