Hey there, friend. Feeling a little overburdened from your day? Life, or just gravity, weighing you down? Then it sounds like you need the dulcet tones and soothing pastel atmosphere of a TomaTea escape game to pick you up... and, why, here's one right now! Blossom Time is all pink hues and meditative (though oddly melancholic) piano music as you explore your surroundings and try to find a way out... which, naturally, involves solving a whole lot of puzzles. To do so, just click on the transparent bars that appear when your cursor passes over the edges of the screen to move around the room, and also watch the tip of your cursor in case it lights up to show you something that can be interacted with. Click the little "i" that appears when you mouse over an item you're carrying to view it up close for more information. As usual for a TomaTea title, if you click on a coded lock or puzzle and get the message "I have no clue how to solve this!", it means you haven't yet viewed the relevant hint hidden in the room, so give your surroundings another scour before tackling it again.
A lot of people are divided over TomaTea's "I have no clue" messages during gameplay... some hate them, as they'd rather figure out how to solve a puzzle on their own without an arbitrary barrier to even attempting it, while others find it helpful in figuring out what they've seen that might be applicable to a solution when a message disappears. Blossom Time makes use of this familiar mechanic, but even if you're in the latter camp of opinions about it, it may not be as useful as you'd expect given some puzzles' tendency to make use of more than one clue in combination. While there are a few puzzles that might require a little bit of "use this item here, because why the heck not, nothing else has been working" logic, most are actually pretty clever, and there's a satisfying variety to them to boot. If you like your escape games smart, but without any skimping when it comes to a relaxing atmosphere, Blossom Time is another great way to inject a little introspection into your day.
typo in the write up, near the very end: If you like you(r) escape games smart,...
So I'm stuck. I have
Four out of the five disks and I don't know how to get the fifth one which I presume is in that pillow.I also have all the paint colours except one (green?) Despite what the game may think I also have no clue how to open the left purple drawer.
The left purple drawer code:
It can be found on the third window from the left.
(In fact it can be found on every window, but on the third from the left it is easier to see it)
The game isn't wrong; you do have the clue. If you have 4 discs, then you've found it.
Look at the windows. Sideways.
The cat puzzle had me stuck for a bit:
Not only can you swap discs, but you can rotate them when highlighted
Thank you, thank you thank you :D
I can't find a four-letter code. It must be obvious, but...
Lucie, for the code you need to combine two 'clues'
The shapes on the four shelves in between the fans, and the numbers, hidden below a pillow, on the left bench in front of the wall with the blossoms.
So since "WOOZ" doesn't open the cabinet you'll have to find another way of converting those shapes into a proper word
This is done by rotating the shapes a certain number of degrees as indicated the the numbers on the bench
which will relut in the word MOON
Oh jeez, thanks.
I'm stuck toward the end I think. I've emptied my inventory but can't figure out how to
paint the painting.
Nevermind, I didn't realize the
painting on the left side was a puzzle.
If you've emptied your inventory, that means you don't have the
paintbrush.
To get it,
back out of the painting. click on the painting all the way to the left to reveal a simple puzzle where you have to connect the same-color items. Finishing it gives you the brush.
I really need to remember to update. That's the second time I've answered a question that already was answered.
that was awesome, as always, from tomatea.
i, for one, don't mind the "you don't have a clue" messages. saves me time trying something that won't work.
the puzzles are challenging enough for me even if i know there's already a clue somewhere out there.
I'm stuck wondering what to do with
the bird
.
Korvar,
where do birds like to nest?
To be more specific,
the bird needs to be placed on the close up on the left hand side of the tree mural.
This then opens the right hand picture with the image of the same bird. The picture is on the wall that is opposite to the windows.
:)
For the bird
You can zoom in on the left cherry blossom on the wall.
Put the bird on the grey circle.
@BlueBird I could have sworn I'd clicked absolutely everywhere it was possible to click, but no... Ah, well, now I'm working on (what I assume to be) the last puzzle...
Out! Huzzah!
:D
I'm stuck:
I am missing two paint colors. I have yellow, orange, pink, and purple.
Thanks for everyone's helping everyone else. I like these games but I'm horrible at them, lol.
Ok, I found blue, now I need green. And that last disk. I can't get into the cabinet with the two button code or the lower right one, or into the cushion
Hi Imzadi,
the two button code,
is a Left and Right puzzle. Look at the wall with the framed pictures on.
The flowers are facing in different directions.
You need to go from top to bottom using the flowers on both sides at the same time. So the answer is...
R L L R R L
:)
OMG Thank you so much! I was so wrapped up in clicking on things it didn't occur to me to just look at things, lol. :D I was able to get through the rest of the game, thank you so much for your help! :)
You're very welcome, I'm glad I was able to help. :D
I can't be the only one who instinctively clicked they grey circle (on the left branches) expecting a jaunty chime and an orange smiley face, right?
This might sound dumb, but
I got the disk out of the cushion, now what do I do with it?
Hi Ander,
The disk is a coin. In escape games coins are often used when you don't have a screwdriver to hand. The coin opens the bottom right hand drawer.
Chris, yes I also automatically thought of Tototo Rooms's button escape games! :D
walkthrough please.
Very nice game, as always, from Tomatea. Out, with no clues, but a bit of thought. I also like the wink to Tesshi-e when you had to
return to a puzzle you already solved in order to solve the final puzzle
. In this case
the circular paint trays change to give you the solution to the final drawer puzzle
. But considering the puzzle, it's not difficult to figure out that's what you should do.
Wlkthrough
Start off by collecting all the round puzzle pieces and paint around the room.
Paint
The orange one can be found above the cat picture.
The purple one is next to the vases, between the windows.
Yellow paint can be found at the vases between the paintings.
Puzzle pieces
One is located at the bottom of the lamp.
One can be found behind the window blinds.
Third one can be found between the tea pot and cups.
Lockers
Top left
Take a look under the left pillow, where the cat picture is. Each number represents how many degrees the signs between the fans should be rotated. This means that “W” should be rotated 180 degrees and the “Z” – 90. In other words the word for the locker should be
MOON.
Top Right
The symbols can be seen on the wall. Simply click “M” and “Z” to change their shape.
Middle left
On the wall with the three pictures, take a look at the vases and the flowers in them. The flowers’ direction represent the respective button. From top to bottom:
right, left, left, right, right, left.
Middle left
Grab a pair of chopsticks from the desk. Go to the vases above the cat picture and use the chopsticks to take out the piece of paper from the empty one. If you take a look at it, you’ll notice that it says “LIGHT” and then turns upside-down. Put it on the lamp to reveal the code for the locker, which is
4917
Bottom left
The code for this locker can be seen on the windows above the lockers and it’s
3083.
Bottom right
With the 5 puzzle pieces, complete the cat picture. Use the button in the bottom left corner to rotate the pieces.
Complete the two picture puzzles on the wall. Put the bird on the branches above the cat picture.
Coloring the painting
Place all the paint in the paint trays in front of the picture on the right and use the paintbrush to color the picture. The color for each object can be found around the room and on the fans. The right colors are
Yellow and orange for the fish, on purple background; Blue for the tea pot and cups; Green for the chopsticks; Pink for the flowers, on orange background; Green for the bamboo behind the tea pot
Grab the knife and take a look at the right pillow, below the cat picture. Use the knife to cut open the round circle and grab a coin.
Put the coin in the drawer and take a look at the paint trays to see the pattern for the lock, which is
yellow, orange, pink, green.
The background music sounded like something from the anime Mushishi!
