You know what, indie flash games are the best thing in life. Thanks James. :D

This is the first Babylon Sticks i didn't get. I'm not saying its not funny, I just didn't get it.

@zcid95, Indie game developers make games because they like doing it (like James Francis, PastelGames, AmanitaDesign, etc.), while people consider that companies make games for money.

haha it's great, i think it's more criticizing the flash game creators that start charging money for the games (Nitromes "B.C. Bow Contest", Ninjakiwis "BTD 4"), than making fun of Sega, who make a living by selling video games.

I thought it was a reference to him having to *flash* for love (ie undress in a front of an audience) whereas he'd rather carry on working for money (but he's "lost it now").

I think it's usually what happens to a once superstar who now drinks in a dodgy pub/bar (esp given his stuble).

"King Comedy" in the back-ground also adds to it when you think of Jake Lamota ("Raging Bull" film). He had to turn to becoming a sleezy standup towards the end. Flashing for money is along the same avenue.

Just my (UK) opinion :)

Of course people should be criticizing paying for flash games, Kongregate should eliminate Kreds.

By the way, is that Leisure Suit Larry?

I thought that it was referring to the fact that most of the Sonic games that exist, excluding the earlier titles, aren't loved. Seems more like Sega was just shooting for money, and not pleasing the fans. I mean, a were-hog? Sonic with a sword? It's just not the same Sonic of yore. Hopefully though Sonic the Hedgehog 4 will manage to bring back the love.

Sonic games on flash, as far as I know, not made by SEGA. They not even get SEGA's permissions.

I think this should be a good joke if it was years earlier because honestly at the moment most indie flash developers does do it for both love and money :) . Most of us got money from so called sponsors while Amanita design make samorost and such for theirs portfolio ;) .

This discussion had better not turn into another hotheaded debate about the state of Sonic games nowadays.

On a more relevant note, yes, I think that is Leisure Suit Larry back there. (Is it sad that I recognized him?)

YOU DIDN'T DRAW HIM WITH GREEN EYES.

FIE UPON YOU.

Just kidding, still can't believe you managed to draw a Sonic comic that WOULDN'T likely garner ire. Love it.

YOU DIDN'T DRAW HIM WITH GREEN EYES.

FIE UPON YOU.

Funny, I seem to recall some fans getting volcanic about SEGA making the opposite decision regarding Sonic the Hedgehog 4.

That was the joke.
