And yet...at the same time...I do wish there WERE such things as hovering platforms.
:D
quality commander keen reference with the image of the kid. remember that game as a wee lad
This cartoon is absolutely keen. Well done!
I don't really get this one. Is it a reference to some game?
I could actually see an NPC in a platformer saying something like that.
The Keen reference was.....well....keen.
Captain Comic next, perhaps?
dude, Commander Keen reference!
Kudos!
Nice. Although in most of the games I've seen these days, there's some sort of structure behind the platforms that they could logically be attached to. Maybe CK didn't have those? I don't know, I never had that game.
It's not really a Commander Keen reference. The joke is on the strangeness of platforming games. I didn't want to use Mario as the platform character archetype, so a friend recommended Keen. You could say the metal girders pay homage to the original Donkey Kong game.
Bonus points to whoever can name the game the bananas are from.
Bonus Points? It's "Donkey Kong Jr."
Bling! =D
I LOVE Commander Keen, I wanted to be him when I was a kid!
Actually, I think I might've heard this joke before, in the video game "The Lost Vikings". One of the vikings says something like, "When we get home, we gotta get one of those waterfalls that float in mid-air!"
> game the bananas are from
That would be Pac Man. :D
We need six shrooms for those comics :D
Missed this...
Ha, ha, it's perfect.
Neither did I see that with all the abstract gaming. Babylon knows how to circumnavigate our predictions. ;Dcircumnavigate
Oh funny, Keep it up!!
The banana is a nice touch
