It's a simple matter to get 3 stars on all but the last 3 stages on Hard with powered up Homing Missiles on a three or four slot ship. I think those three could be easily beaten on Frenetic with 3 stars as well. The two stages before the last can easily be 2 starred on Hard with that set-up. But the last stage on Hard seems nigh impossible. The Homing Missiles don't cut it and the meteor gun seems pathetic for the cost - perhaps it gets a great deal more impressive if you manage to level it up to max.
Whenever I close the game and come back, all my weapons are reset to level 1.
I'm curious if the add ons stack.
Best ship (4 shot) + fully upgraded meteor + 4 +15% dmg modules and even the last one is not too tough to get 3 stars on Hard.
Anyone else a little underwhelmed by the final boss? I don't think its much of a spoiler to say that:
Its pretty weak that it can be destroyed with a single bomb, even in "hard" mode.
