The title says it all: Canabalt HD is Canabalt in HD! The epically popular one button running game that originally appeared in browsers back in 2009 has made its way to the mobile scene before. There's even C64anabalt for the Commodore 64! Now, with bigger, more powerful mobile devices around, this high-definition version of the game comes along, featuring remade 3D backgrounds and smoother animation. Don't worry, though. It's still just as easy to leap out a window and smack into another building!
Canabalt is sort of the crystallization of the genre it represents, featuring a minimalist style that has a lot of action and attitude. You play a man fleeing from his crumbling city as giant robots tear down buildings with their giant robot arms. You control only his jumps, tapping the screen when you're ready to leap. Hop over anything in your way, and be sure to break through windows and avoid stumbling over little things in your path. You can't afford to slow down. Those are giant robots in the background, after all.
Beyond getting a higher score, there's really no other goal in Canabalt HD, apart from having a great time. You run, you pretend you're an action hero, you inevitably crash, and you try it again. Now, you do it all in HD! If you're a retro fiend like us, you can even switch between the 3D and 2D backdrops so you can pretend you're still living in the innocent world of 2009. Only, you know, still in HD...

Maybe I'm just being a grammar snob, but "epically" isn't a word.
I wouldn't use it in a term paper, but it is indeed a word. It successfully conveys a meaning and tidily serves its purpose as an adverb modifying 'popular'.
Same game but new/better graphics? I'll take it!
