Lilith: It's Valentines!ChiktionaryIf you're single this Valentine's Day do not despair, because two unlikely chums have returned to remind us that February 14th is not just for romance. Kid-friendly Emma: It's Valentine's! and the companion title Lilith: It's Valentine's! remind us that love takes other forms, such as friendship, and these spot-the-difference games by Difference Games are so delightfully sweet, you won't be needing that box of calorie-ridden chocolates, or bunch of commercially produced roses.

Emma: It's Valentines! If you've played Lilith and Emma: A Friend at Hallow's Eve, you can expect more of the same sweet and light spotting of differences nestled in a simple and charming story. If you haven't yet encountered Lilith and Emma, the premise is simple; search each scene for differences and use the mouse to select them. And again, this is a story told from the perpectives of both Emma and Lilith, with varying art-styles differentiating between the two. The only change is the introduction of three difficulty levels, with the hardest level providing a nice challenge for those who crave gameplay that's a bit more demanding than the average spot-the-difference fare.

So this Valentine's Day, you can either mope around in a puddle of your own single-ness, or you can feign a sudden allergy to enforced romance and think of your BFF by baking a cake, or crafting a soft-toy Emma and Lilith style. We here at Jay Is Games are your friends, and we like cake. Happy Valentine's Day!

Play Emma: It's Valentines!

Play Lilith: It's Valentines!

There seems to be a problem with the embedding; fullscreen mode only works for between 1-10 seconds before it reverts to windowed mode. Tried both Firefox, Opera and Chromium.

A fun, cute diversion for Valentine's Day...my only quibble is that I would have preferred the hard level to have mirrored images, so that the old stereoscopic image trick didn't work. It might be cheating, but my eyes involuntarily cross when I see near-identical side-by-side images.

I remember the Halloween one, and how it was funny to see the same story from different perspectives. I haven't played this yet, but I am doing so right away!

Call me Sheldon, but in the review there's a link to the taglist for "spot-the-difference", which tag hasn't been added to this game. Instead, this one is the first and only post tagged "spotthedifference", as indicated in the header.

('Thanks for turning up to celebrate Valentine's; now please step into this here room with no one to keep you company but yourself, and stay there.')

My brain starts working rather strangely due to this (QED). Please end my misery :)

I played Emma first (as I did with Halloween) and was really confused. Then I played Lilith and it made sense.
I rather like that the artwork had a bigger difference between the two.
I enjoy "spot-the-difference" games, but Lilith in "hard" mode was IMPOSSIBLE. I had 2 left on the first screen and clicked the "shake" hint 3 times. I couldn't see it. I like "normal" better.
5/5
Emma - the little girl
Lilith - the vampire girl
Lilith's version has neat music.

So cute! So pretty! These are adorable.

Jay, not sure if it matters, but I noticed when I clicked on Emma, it opened in a JIG window, but when I clicked on Lilith from inside the Emma game, it opened a tabbed browser window at Kongregate. It's probably the in-game link and I don't have a problem with it--just ended up with a lot of stuff open!

[Thanks, but I have no control over in-game links. I will add links to the other Emma and Lilith games below the game window, though. That should help. -Jay]

Agreeing with SkylerF - Lilith in Hard mode is down right hard, since a lot of her differences are extremely minute and different from each scene. I got through, but not without using a lot of shakes and a few reveals.

In contrast, Emma's Hard mode was actually quite predicable, since her game uses the same 'tricks' twice. They might be hard to find the first time, but repeating the same difference on other scenes put the difficulty down quite a bit.

Still prefer Lilith's art style though. Just. cool.

Is it just me or does Emma Emma occasionally spap on and off her socks lol.
