The summer of surreal surprises continues with this Flash adventure game from Slovakia. Haluz is a game of the point-and-click variety that contains several scenes and a variety of simple puzzles that must be solved to advance.
What do you do when a very large bird makes off with your rooftop satellite dish? Well, use the resources around you to your best advantage and get it back.
Analysis: Haluz is a beautiful game within its class and the closest I've seen come to the stunning imagery seen in Samorost, which is without a doubt the inspiration behind this game. Although similar in appearance, the puzzles here pale in comparison and are sometimes awkward and confusing as to what must be done. For example, the very first and last scenes took me quite a bit of time before I figured out what to do. Still, if you love games like this you will likely enjoy Haluz, too.
(I'm guessing the name of the game comes from the little guy that waves "hello" at you in each scene?)

Walkthrough Guide

Haluz Walkthrough
Level 1
Click the door of the right house to look inside.
Click the right mousehole so the mouse pokes its head out.
Pick up the cheese hanging from the fire inside the house.
Drag the cheese to the left mousehole.
Level 2
Mouse over the bird so it flies away.
Click the red hook next to the elevator to pick up the rope.
Drop the rope on the crashed space ship
Click the elevator mechanism to ride it to the top of the tree.
Click the spinning wheel to try to pick up the turbine.
Wait for the creature inside the building to walk to the outhouse.
Click the spinning wind turbine.
Click the broken turbine again and add it to the back of the spaceship in the water.
Pick up the elevator mechanism on the ground and attach it to the front of the ship.
Level 3
Click the large snail with the french horn shell.
Pick up the red cable at the end of the conveyor belt and reattach it next to the green cable.
Take the green cable and place it where the red cable was originally.
Click the tape player to zoom in.
Press the small silver lever to roll a piece of tape out the side.
Click the tape and attach it to the empty reel.
Click and drag the black feather to the silver tube sticking out of the pot.
Drag the combined feather and pipe to the top of the snaked head.
Press the silver lever on the tape player again.
Drag the black feather into the campfire.
Quickly click the small tulip and then large yellow tulip.
Click the snail again to hop on its back.
Pick up the fishing rod and drag it to the snail.
Click the light hanging next to the fireplace and drag it to your character.
Level 4
Click the bottom hole next to the snail.
Click your character inside the top hole.
Click the spoon inside the pile of junk in the nest.
Drag the ruler to the spoon and place it at the point where the bowl of the spoon meets the handle.
Click the small razor inside the nest and place it on the edge of the spoon handle.
Take the large razor and put it underneath the smaller one.
Pick up the satellite dish and place it in the bowl of the spoon.
Click the nail and add it to the middle of the ruler.
Click your character to hop onto the makeshift airplane.
